honestly, let LA take AD. it would kill their team with the trade package theyre asking to start with (Zo, Kuz, Zubac, picks). nice starting 5, but it would leave their team basically with no depth and almost zero trade chips to improve.

But the point about Curry and LeBron is accurate. And you can put Harden in there too. A lot of the top talent prefer Hardens temperament over LeBron's.

Morey has basically aborted other deals that could have been made....And also missed out on other roster adjustments such as House and Bruno...to wait this situation out with the Pels. House could actually be a part of a trade for AD. He is definitely an asset. And the Pels have an open 2-way.

Consider this offer:

Capela, EGo, Chriss, House, Harty, plus unprotected picks (up to 4) for AD, Hill, Frazier, Clark....

Then consider the possibility of flipping Capela to the kings (boosting their playoff odds and devaluing the pick the Celtics own. Morey can use leverage. We are ARE talking to the Kings.).

Lakers assets don't compare to ours. Ingram is a bust. Lonzo and Kiz have star potential. Yes. Zubac - jap. Lakers would have to clean the cupboard to compete with the offer I just put up there. And Morey is going to force them to do that if AD is dealt now.

AD needs to leak that he will only sign an extension with the Lakers if Houston wants a shot. I imagine Morey would still go for it, and the Lakers might not offer as much.

You’re stating that Morey is going to make an offer for AD as if it’s breaking news or something you know that others don’t. It’s the most obvious statement. As is the package we would offer.

That aside, I would think the Raptors can probably outbid us too if they wanted. Siakam can seem just as valuable as Capela, with the difference being Siakam is getting paid less than $2 million until after next year. And OG has not been good this year but still more valuable than House. Fred Van Vleet is not at good as EG but young and locked up longer. Then they just gotta throw in one contract like JV, and almost match the picks.

Ujiri is very much like Morey. He’ll go for it no matter the cost.

 

Hope the Pelicans don't give in to his threat of going to LA in 2020 no matter what. Make those assholes wait and LeBron is another year older at 35.

While I’ll never put anything past Morey, the Rockets aren’t trading CP3 six months after signing him to a four year extension. Especially not when CP3 is the head of the Players Association.

I wonder how much New Orleans value's trading Davis to the Eastern Conference or at the very least screwing over the Lakers by sending him elsewhere. You've got to know there is a bit of anger knowing Davis has been enticed by Lebron's comments, or his agent's whispering or even the national media's breathless and incessant talk of Davis to La La land over the past 6 months.
