    Put him on a team without a HOF PG, and watch how his value tanks. Look, I love Clint as much as the next Rockets fan, but he's not in any way, shape, or form a Top 20 player. In order to be a Top 20 player, you have to be able to create your own shot, and force defenses to account for you. Right now, outside of the hard dive to the basket off a pick, and his ability to finish above the rim, there really isn't anything else he's elite at offensively. It's not to say he doesn't bring tremendous value to a team, it's just that he doesn't belong in the conversation as a centerpiece for a trade involving an ACTUAL Top 20 player.

    How’s that any different that Davis telling Pelicans he wants to be traded? All stars are Prima Donnas these days.

    Davis is going to be traded to whoever drafts Zion Williamson. That's not us. Next.

    The real target from New Orleans should be Nikola punch Mirotic.

    The vertical spacing, defense, ability to switch, and rebounding provided by clint is second to none other than Davis.

    Pelicans don’t want Gordon. Rockets firat round picks will be in the 20s. Only 1st round picks worth a damn are lottery and in the teens.

    I’d be alright w Gordon/Capela. But Tucker too?

    Harden/Davis/CP3/Ennis/Faried?

    Warriors would murder that lineup. We have a better chance with our current roster IMO.

    cp3 is not declining, at least not physically... i watched him carefully this year.. hes even more springy than last year... even if he is it is very slow decline .. so be it .. and he is not depending on athleticism....even if he misses 20 games a year so be it ... AD also was sitting a lot of games on a yearly basis.... you still get 4 years of elite playmaking POINT GOD ...

    he is just 7 moths removed from being MVP of NBA finals.. he was better than curry durant harden klay and dray in WCF... how often picks convert to such a player?

    he is not depending on athleticism to get his 20pts 10 asst 5 rebounds....he is familiar with NO and ppl of NO are familiar with him.... the stadium was full when he played there... his game is SUPER POLISHED, is very attractive to look and very successful(playoffs each year)... you also got 2 allstars(holiday and capela) and great supporting cast ...

    theres no chance in hell all those picks they could get from boston or la get to convert into anything close to it... NOT EVEN CLOSE

    so why tank 5 years for the pie in the sky?
    when they already can have one of the best teams in nba

    ITS THEIR OWN BIG 3,,,,
    and they get to go to playoffs each year..its an actual improvement over AD years

    how many teams in the league can aspire to a gather a team with 3 all stars??!
    huh?

    PLUS THEY GET 4 FIRST ROUND PICKS
    how that all sounds?...remember the 4 picks are only a BONUS
    THIS OFFER IS UNBEATABLE
    if only morey has balls to do it...

    Respectfully disagree. I think he would be 90% as good with an average starting point guard. I also think your method of judging who is a top player focuses too much on an ability to carry an offense as opposed to carrying a defense. Is Karl-Anthony Towns a top 20 player? Because Capela dominated him. I will tell you that the vast majority of NBA teams right now are searching for the next Clint Capela as opposed to someone who can score on the block.

    By your own count I've seen him create his shot at least 10% of the time. But do you know that the Rockets don't actually run plays for their big men to create their own shots? That might have something to do with it I think. Maybe you should coach and give Clint 20 shots a night while we've got James Harden on the floor.
