Always thought that AD was the perfect player next to Harden, but based on the assets we currently have, it’s a bad time for us for him to become available. Not to mention he probably doesn’t want to come here.

Anywho, with Mirotic and Randle available we definitely need to get on that. They would both be perfect on this team, Randle is the PF we’ve never had and Mirotics shooting would take this team to another level. I know i might get flamed for this, but to a certain extent based on our needs and chemistry, I would rather have either Mirotic or Randle than Butler.

cp3 makes all the sense in the world for them
noone of the picks or young players they could get could even dream of becoming player cp3 is
and you got him locked for 4 years

    they dont need free agents
they already would have 3 allstars all locked up longterm!
    1 cp3
    2 jrue holiday
    3 clint
    THEIR VERY OWN BIG 3

    How awesome is that?

cp3 is not declining hes even moving a lot better this year.... hes simply been troubled with injuries this year, general lack of chemistry on rockets and playing second fiddle here to harden his stats took a hit

he could easily put 20 10 5 on nightly basis being the man

remember just 7 months ago he was the best player in wcf,. better than durant ,curry, harden, klay, gordon, capela igoudala and dray

he is the offer they cant refuse... just a matter of whether morey is willing to trade him

pelicans, why tank for 5 years when you can have a great team right now?

In the end the salary matching wouldn't even be a problem, pretty sure in that deal the Rockets could take back trash like Hill and Wes Johnson to make it work, the real problems are that the Pelicans should have no interest in Chris Paul at this point, and that the Rockets are not going to basically dump him.

This has helped the Pelicans immensely.

Imagine them going into the trade deadline next week and ONCE again moving future assets to try and better the team... only for it to not work again.

Absolutely the Pelicans could have done a better job putting talent around AD.

But they didn't, when they did those pieces got injured, etc. Jrue is a very very good PG, and for some reason him and AD aren't in any way a "tandem" that you think of as wow... and sure, Jrue isn't an "all-star" level PG, and there's lots of really good PGs throughout the league, but he's in that really good category. He's 5th in the NBA in points from the PG position, 8th on a per game basis just barely behind Russ.

He's 5th from all PGs in assist per game and SECOND in total assists - because he hasn't missed a game yet.

His 3 point shot isn't great this year, and he's clearly not Kyrie... but he gives you 2 ppg less and 1.2 apg more.

For all the "reemergence" of bigs in AD, KAT, Embiid, Ayton, etc... I'd still MUCH rather have Clint Capela at center, and an "AD-like" talent but at the guard position.

Pelicans are 7 years in on the AD experience. It isn't/hasn't worked.... for whatever reason.

It's great that they get to move along now...

The Brow and The Beard together would really be something, but it’s very difficult for me to imagine actually happening.

This video is cringe worthy. “I’ll take a look at it”

I don’t want you involved. What do you know about basketball.

Agreed. I don’t think anyone is dumb enough to hitch their wagon for another 3 1/2 years to Paul’s contract. Capela is the one that could move the needle but I doubt that happens.

It is very simple for Pelicans.
Pelicans just need to call Celtics and ask one question. "would you like to deal Tatum for Davis?" If yes, we will wait for you, if no, we will deal him to Knicks or Lakers now.

    Centerpiece is Tatum.

I’m interested to see what happens with Mirotic if/when AD gets dealt and NO enters full blown rebuilding mode.

We’re talking about a player that’s basically Ryno on steroids. He takes as many three pointers per game as Ryno did during his peak here. Needless to say, that type of stretch 4 fits. We wouldn’t have to change a thing.

The Pelicans probably want to trade Davis anywhere but the Lakers. i am sure they are very upset with how the tampering has played out, but at the end of the day if the lakers somehow have the best offer they like built around Kuzma, Ingram and picks then I am sure the Pelicans will do what is best for their team.
