    Stolen from "Bachelor Party":

MOREY: I want AD. You dump him and I'll give you cash.
DEMPS: What's AD's blue book value right now?
    MOREY: Two million dollars.
    DEMPS: Noooooooo........
    MOREY: Three million dollars.
    DEMPS: Not interested.
MOREY: Okay, three million plus Capela. And a G.E. toaster oven, a Litton microwave, a Cuisinart...
DEMPS: Do they even make those any more?
MOREY: An IPad........Michelin tires... brand new. A set of Sears Best metric tools...
DEMPS: Sears is going out of business.

Yep, the Pelicans hold ALL the cards here. Davis will be a Pelican (lol at that name) until the off-season at the EARLIEST.

It means they have no clue what they’re talking about so they use these broad words with no solid meaning to make it seem like they have sources. Then the headline reading generation sees the headline, it becomes fact in their world, and the internet goes nuts.

Knicks and Nets were the favourites before he made his public statement about resigning and now..what a surprise the Lakers.

What did you expect? These are the same people that didn't want to trade tucker and Gordon for an all star like Jimmy Butler during the offseason. I bet they would do the trade now if they could...

Right there's a rumor out there now that he and Bron have reconciled and he wants to end up in LA. Errbody wants to go to LA. The star situation is such a problem for the league. Teams are paralyzed.

Hard to sign the players you need in free agency without assurance that your star will stay, star won't give it. He'll claim it's because he wants to win before he commits, but in reality they are all angling to specific markets and they use the winning as an excuse. That excuse helps prevent the teams from winning which makes it easier to leave.

Never ending saga. The only players who care about the max/super max dollars are players who aren't actually capable of getting a max contract on the open market. The Pelicans have Davis under contract for two years, but essentially both of those years were wiped out before this season started because of his desire to go to LA. He hired an agent to make that happen, everyone knew it and it impacted things. Shoot, Boogie turned down a contract that would have netted him close to $10million more this year to go play for the Warriors. A big part of that was he knows there's no point in hanging out with the Pelicans.

As sexy as AD'd be on the Rockets, that supermax extension he can sign, along with Harden's supermax kicking in at some point, and CP3's big bucks. We'd be those three players + me (CP3: "catch it, white boy!"), DaDakota (Harden: "I told you not to shoot it!"), and 'holics burner accounts as the bench.

Personally I'd want AD going to the Knicks and KD to follow, since I won't F5 over AD between now and February 7th anyway.

AD is the perfect big for Harden. Too bad it likely won’t happen.

if i am AD, i'd leave as well, so many years not making the playoffs, finally u make playoff and swept POR to enter second round, and u don't resign the important piece that made it possible, namely Cousins and Rondo, now team again is sucking hard, what else can he do...... Pels management did not do a good job, and that's what they deserve

Yes, but with Harden and CP3 passing to him he could level his game up several notches. It would truly be an interesting trio.
