I mean, if Davis says he wants to come to Houston, we got a shot.

If I’m NO, there’s no way I trade before this trade deadline. Would have to wait for Boston to see what their offer is since he still has another year. And no way would I take LAL young core when they haven’t shown any improvement and would just be a sub 30 win team with them, while Boston’s young core was 1 game away from the finals. But the most important thing is I would be PETTY AF since Lebron pretty much coerce the whole thing and is trying to force AD to the Lakers. **** that

I think people will be surprised at the low ball offers the Lakers will make because being the cocky assholes they are, they think they can get whatever they want any way they want and that they hold all the leverage, but Boston looms in the summer(can only trade for AD now if they trade Kyrie) with a better package. We definitely need to jump in there with other teams. I personally wouldn't be impressed with Ball, and Ingram(i bet they will try and keep Kuzma). Fringe near maybe 1x all stars in return? A 1st round pick on a team with AD and LeBron with enough time to jump up the rankings? That pick won't be any more valuable than 4 future firsts from us.

As much as i hate to say it or imagine it, i'd rather have a competitive team around Draymond Green/Jrue Holiday/Randle/Mirotic over some nothing special younger players from the Lakers. The potential to build a sort of 04 Pistons team excites me more than any upside of Ball or Ingram who will probably leave eventually anyway. Same thing with Capela/Mirotic/Jrue/Gordon/Randle + 4 future -team that can compete for a playoff spot. Small market teams like New Orleans need to stay competitive over tanking for a long period of time.

Of course Boston is the best package, but can't do it until summer.

Philly? Seems Jimmy won't be happy unless he gets his very own team to be the man. Randle/Mirotic/Jimmy/Jrue/Fultz?

Might as well throw in Harden too and have Chriss and Davis dominate down low

I am not cursing or jinxing rockets. But think about Harden is about to enter 30s and the load of work he need to put since he traded to Houston. Isn't 4 first round picks are in 7 years? NO might be the new Boston, who knows.

Rockets are a great fit... he would love it here... but I dont think New Orleans would be interested in anyone on our squad. Even with the 4 FRP.

Capella, house, EG and picks would be a start.

But lakers can celtics can beat that easily.

I also think the Rockets love what they have...... so i dont know.

I dont expect AD to be traded this deadline anyways. He is under contract for another year. NO cannot make a trade with Boston. They will be cheating themselves if they did not let ALL OF THE BIDDERS bid on AD.

AD will wait atleast until the offseason.

entering 30s doesn't mean much for a player who hasn't had much of a history of injuries

Look, we dont have the assets, Im as optimistic as anyone but this is ridiculous. We do not have the assets needed. And I dont want to piss Capela off for an offer we know they are going to refuse.

    Chriss for AD :p

Seriously, Morey needs to mortgage our future for AD... We need to do everything in our power to get this guy because

    1) **** the Lakers, if they miss out on AD, they're basically ****ed unless Kawhi signs there. I'm sure NO would rather trade with anyone but the Lakers because they've been poaching their player all year long.
1b) Lakers actually don't have as many assets as people think. Lonzo is a bust, Kuzma plays only 1 side of the ball (he's like a K-mart at best), Ingram also a bust. Lakers only a pick that might be valuable but once you trade AD there, that pick will be useless.
    2) We're supposedly "All-In" so this is the most all-in you can get. 4 picks + any asset you want minus Harden.

The only team I see that has the most to offer is Celtics. AD going there will make them come out of the East every year. But at least, he'll be in the East and not the West.

People here clearly don't watch the Lakers at all and just look at their young guy's stats. Remember that Lebron has been out for a long time and they've been losing ever since. Without Lebron, the Lakers are a lottery team and those "great assets" they have are all terrible. If NO are dumb enough to trade AD to the Lakers, I guarantee their future is ****ed. If I were them, I'd deal with the Celtics but maybe Ainge doesn't think they need AD.

I think like always Houston will kick the tires but will not be considered by AD.

If the Lakers offer up all their guys and make this happen then maybe we can tempt NO with a trade of CP3 for Kuzma. We already have Harden, Rivers, and EGO, and Kuzma is that young forward who would shine on our 3 point style game.

Doesn't matter where the picks lie ... only matters how well they're used. And to a small market team like NOP those 4 picks could set them up nicely for the next NBA generation (post GSW era).

Wouldn't you just love to be the New Orleans GM right now, as soon as the Woj bomb was released, his phone will continue to go off, with Morey's mug on the screen.........
