Thank you for summing this up so succinctly. It's also amazing that many of these people before Trump are usually on others to be more supportive of law enforcement, now are not only showing a lack of support, they somehow know enough about the case and details to know that the law enforcement made a wrong and horrible choice.

 

You know SC has reached the bottom of the barrel when they're combing testimony of low-level campaign hangers-on (who didn't commit any crimes before the investigation started) for inaccuracies.

This is typical of federal prosecutors, who like to charge people with crimes they allegedly committed in the act of defending themselves. Especially if they can't find an underlying crime or the target is unpopular/disreputable.

But lets see... stone is one of trump's longest associates and confidantes. stone was an early lobbyist (along with manafort) for trump in the 70's, then directed trump's exploratory for trump's 2000 presidential campaign. In the 2016 campaign, stone was a senior adviser and only quit after trump's menstruating comment about Megyn Kelly. Even after quitting he maintain an informal role and as we are finding out was actively involved in securing emails to use against Hillary Clinton. Apparently like a few others in the trump campaign, stone used email and text messages to communicate.
