Rivers is a master of saying the right thing. Less than 6 months ago, the greater Houston hated this guy. Now we are all worried that he might leave in the off season.
He is the ideal fit as backup point guard to Chris Paul. It will be interesting to see how his contract and Faried’s plays out in free agency. They both have more value to the rockets than to the rest of the league. Rivers seems smart enough to know this.
Austin rivers is very articulate. We have to see how the rest of the year plays out , but I'll feel very good if we can keep him , house , and farried on team-friendly deals

Keep in mind that Rivers was ballin out trying to keep our team afloat/ attractive to bring in the likes of Manimal. They both were brought in due to injuries and we gone be stacked when CP & CC return!
I like his defense, toughness, ball handling (other than that 8 second violation), but most importantly his confidence and attitude. It is good to have a guy who won’t back down to back up Harden and CP3.
