TMac should've gotten a botana for 6 and enjoyed himself.

 

Sure, House has every right to want to get converted and get a raise next year.

But what seems to be getting lost is that in a two way deal, the Rockets have the OPTION to convert him, not an obligation.

Just like House owes the Rockets nothing and should look out for himself, the Rockets don't owe him anything either. By converting him they set a bad precedent for two way deals going forward, and may not even get any benefit this year if they plan to upgrade the wing at the trade deadline thus making House expendable.

I was thinking the same thing. He probably should lay off twitter for a while. It’s not a good look.

 

House is delusional. I like it though because he has got to have absolute confidence in his own abilities if he is going to reach his goal. Now he cant go overboard with it. Daniel should get only a two year contract worth 3 million with a team option on the 2nd year or just a 1 year deal. I know morey doesn't want him having the leverage we saw Patrick Mccaw got by becoming a FA thus having more Leverage. If any of us had an opportunity to get a guaranteed contract we would do it. Both sides will get this business done hopefully after the trade deadline. I am loving our team so far though

 

If Morey could have pushed Rivers and Faried into signing three year contracts for the minimum he would have. As a young player with almost no track record, House doesn't get to set the terms for his free agency like they do. Every team does this with their second round picks or undrafted pick ups.

Why would we want Morey to squander the leverage he has? I don't blame House at all for wanting to get paid. I imagine we'll be able to find some kind of compromise after the trade deadline and get him signed, but I don't want Morey to be some kind of pushover GM. The CD days are behind us.

 

Eh, that does not look like a contender's bench. They need a guy like House or another 3+D wing off the trade market. Gerald Green and Ennis shouldn't be seeing Playoff minutes.

Those two have the ability to go else where. Danuel House doesn't have that leverage. If Morey wants House at any point this year, he'll convert the contract. Morey can chose and wait and see how it plays out.
