IMO After Trade Deadline Feb7 passes and right before Buyout Playoff Eligibility Date Mar 1 passes Morey will get the House in order.

I hope we can lock him up for 3 years at the minimum before we trade for our starting small forward.

Morey will wait this out until the deadline to see what happens. I just hope we are in good position to end the season and for playoffs. With what house has shown, he can be valuable in the playoffs this year even with minimum contracts, espically if there are any injuries.

Tillman’s monetary restrictions has hindered Morey. Hoping management and the team don’t collapse from it.

Didn't his agent already turn down that same offer? Why would he agree to it now?

What other options does he have?

Unless he wants House to end up playing in China because he "knows his rights"

You don't get more than a minimum deal as a 26 year old 50 gamer who has had 7 good games. Turn it down and your player rots in Gleague for waaaay less than 3 year min salary... and your cut as an agent is miniscule.

Not being a smart ass and legitimately asking,

Didn't Clint turn down essentially the same offer he ultimately signed?

Even if Clint didn't, it happens. You play poker with Morey and think you can do better, but as time goes on and you start to sweat and eventually cave in second guessing your decision.

The fact is this is easily the best opportunity he's had and he took a bet on himself but that doesn't mean his mind won't change.

Just sign the contract House, trust me. If House becomes an All-Star next year, do you think the Rockets will let him rot with his original 3 year contract. Look at Dinwiddie?!?!?!?

PS: Nets gave Dinwiddie (Rockets killer) a 3 year extension a month ago

No, I totally get that House might sign that contract, and that it's absolutely in his best interest to grab this guaranteed money while he can, than continue working to show other the Rockets (and other teams) that he's worthy of a bigger contract next time around.

But I also think it just as easily might not happen. His agent is trying to show the league that he thinks his client is already worth more than a 3-year guaranteed minimum contract. He might stick to his guns, regardless. D-Mo certainly stuck to his guns all the way and ended up in China. Just because it's obviously the better move for House to sign that offered contract, it doesn't mean he'll actually do it.

Absolutely could happen, I just hope it doesn't. He'd be a really nice backup on this team if we had a starting SF.

That outburst in ig makes me think House ain't ready to go-to China even when he initially accepted his agent's plan

It was in the other thread a week ago where he was making low key digs about the FO and their big visions

    Yeah - he's got IT.

He has got a bit of 'pit bull mentality'!

This is going to be yet another Rox player that eventually goes to another NBA team, grows and flourishes to a really nice player that in retrospect was a steal at the deal/terms we thought were too rich.

    Gotcha.

I thought maybe he'd posted something new that shined a light on the current situation.
