That's one of the more objective opinion on James Harden in today's media. At least, it seems like he is actually watching some full Rockets games.

No one is calling him a ball hog. I've never heard it.

Saying someone is NOT something is a quick way to build a narrative for it.

I think most of the none Houston/Harden fans, mostly Haters, are saying this.

System is demanding PGs to make plays all the time and score.

I mean, he has been a ball hog, particularly since Capela went down. But his team seems to be cool with it under the circumstances.

Ball hog = the only MFer that can make a play happen for anybody else on the floor

I can't imagine his teammates ever complaining(or having the nerve to anyway) given how they can't make a g-ddamn open shot to save their lives(Gordon notwithstanding). That Knicks game shouldn't have been close, but PJ, Ennis, and Rivers were worthless offensively. Green's been ok on most nights. But we're at the point with injuries and slumping players where Harden has to put up 40+ for the team to have a prayer of winning.

    You mean more aggressive

Ball hog for me is an efficient chucker who doesn’t care about winning

It's been a negative term ever since but Harden made it look n sound positive.

If I'm going into battle, I'm going to want to use my best weapon against the opposition! My only fear is that this weapon doesn't break down leaving me with little to continue the battle....ie, Go for it Harden!....please don't get injured as we have hardly anything to replace you!

Ugh, I hope he is a ball hog...I’m not sure giving the ball to Gerald Green, Ennis, or Tucker and asking them to run the offense would be a good idea. Maybe the media sees something differently thou...

The guy is being extremely complimentary, and he's acknowledging so much of what is happening with Houston (injuries, the fact that Harden looks for others, etc). I don't think that there is an ulterior motive to build a narrative here. He's just calmly stating that Harden is playing on another level right now.

It's nice to hear people realizing what's going on here!

I watch DP on a daily basis. Generally, he's not been a big Harden supporter. One of the many in the chorus that whine about alleged traveling and he's said he doesn't understand why it's so hard to guard him. I think he's coming around finally...seeing just how great Harden truly is. It's nearly impossible to ignore right now.

Chris Paul will be back Sunday. Thus, ending this narrative.

Personally I think Harden will be relieved when the help comes back.

This. I don't think Harden even wants to play the way he's having to play right now. Dude is Atlas with the entire franchise on his back. I'm sure he can't wait until Chris and Clint are back.

oh he's def been a ball hog lately... but given the circumstances, its not only understandable - but presently needed....

oftentimes he's the only guy on the court that can create a shot - for himself or others...

let's not act like this is some free flowing high ball movement offense at present... lol

I think Cowheard did... saying that his style of play is selfish and that it’s bad for his team

to me, a ballhog is someone who has other capable players on his team but will refuse to pass and will insist on doing everything on offense...that is not the case with Harden

Harden is doing what needs to be done in order for the team to win. What happens if he only dropped 50 against NY instead of 61? We walk out of there with an embarrassing L.
