Gordon was definitely responsible for the play. Harden gets credited the steal but that was definitely because of Gordon. But whatever, dude deserves some help.
Murphy’s record stood for like 40 years and harden has either tied or broke it 5 times in the last 12 months. That’s insane.
They're just suffering from a condition known as "Battered Knick syndrome". The symptoms consisting mainly and almost entirely of being a Knicks fan, the shittiest franchise in basketball.
I didn’t watch it but I know that will be the narrative. Too many fouls and it’s not impressive. They will say Kobe and Melo did it better and Harden flopped his way to the free throw he missed 15 3s out of 20. And we beat a knicks team “ not impressive” Yet they won’t mention his defense and rebounding this night. Only player that was keeping us in the game. Once he sat we were out scored. He got some help from Gordon but Gordon was doing some stupid stuff too. Harden was solid on defense and rebounding. He just stuck on shooting a couple too many 3s but no one else was doing anything. 61 pts 15 rebounds 4 assist 5 steals i mean what else can u ask for. Oh yea more help for Harden coz seriously everyone else can’t make open shots. If he had some help he would have had an easy triple double.
Man go on reddit and watch it on ur phone whenever ur out. Or even on blackout days. I live in LA so I don’t get any rockets games except TNT or abc games.
Harden played very well on Defense. He got some strips on the ball few times in this game. Gordon knocked the ball away and Harden stole the pass to end the game with a dunk on his way to his career high 61 points..just like the way we drew up...Go Rockets
Watch Harden and Mudiay on that play. Mudiay makes the conventional move, laterally across the court. Harden, on the other hand, recognizes what's developing and moves vertically up the wing, so he's there to take the ball. Gordon created the opportunity, but Harden took it. Sometimes we wonder how well Harden might defend if he weren't conserving energy to score 35 or 40 or 60. Here's your answer. On the last possession, when the only job in front of him is defense, he focuses in and elevates that part of his game.
Gordon popped the ball out. After draining that three from Long Island to reverse Tucker's massive cockup. Guy didn't quit. Harden's there to reward that defense, complete the steal, and ice the Knicks with that dagger dunk. That's how it's supposed to be, man. Feels good.
The way harden trapped the ball on that steal is the way Lance Stephenson should have played harden on the inbounds play back when Lakers blew that 20 point lead last saturday.
Seriously on another level, an absolute beast. Just hope Morey can get him some decent help or our injury bug can be over soon.
