The real funny part is that she proudly attended a march set up by anti-Semites that just about everyone denounced including the DNC and most of their sponsors and while at that anti-Semitic march she accuses others of Antisemitism....

How anyone can see her as anything but a joke is beyond me.

    Gee, I wonder who?

I hope that when we install our new socialist government we don't wait around too long before we round up the non-believers.

Well yeah, that's always a priority when a country is taken over by a socialist government. Of course the "people's history" version of the story always omits that part when telling the story.

I just said it was effective, I never supported his methods, in fact I denounced them. It would be worse if I didn't know for a fact you knew that before choosing to show up here and lie about it. You guys on the far left seem to have a thing with spreading fake news and outright lies recently, not a good look.

Holy crap- it's hard to believe that this poll isn't an outlier.
But if it isn't, America is ready for a big step to the left.
The huge amount of media attention AOC receives has allowed her to shift the window of discussion in a matter of weeks. I could see some of the centrist dem nominees getting frustrated with that as reporters constantly ask them if they do or don't agree with AOC on her latest take.

Yes, those are factually accurate statements, as is the statement that he employed horrific methods and killed up to 3,000 socialists and imprisoned and tortured as many as 80,000 more. No one supports his methods, but that doesn't change the fact that crushing the socialists and instituting a democratic government along with a healthy capitalist economy ended up being the best thing to ever happen to Chile.

Terrible things can have positive outcomes, that doesn't mean they aren't still terrible things and that doesn't mean that the positive outcome aren't still positive.

Well, it isn't surprising to me that you're able to separate an economic ideology from a social one when that ideology is capitalism...but when it comes to socialism you're then unable to make that distinction. These are the same arguments that people could use for Mao, Stalin, or Hitler. Find some success and then ignore all the horrors of their administration and go "See, but look at where the country is at today!" In fact, there are many people that make these same arguments for Stalin and Mao.

Captialism and socialism are economic systems, it's you that seems to think that socialism has a different definition because you know that but are embarrassed of the entire history of it when it has been used. Pushing for Socialism is essentially pushing for mass slaughter.

Socialism is not communism, someone needs to inform the ignorant people of this fact.

This is exactly what I've said.

With Capitalism you're able to separate the fact that Pinochet was a capitalist but also a murdering dictator but not able to make that distinction with say...Castro.

His system didn't fail like Castro's and literally every other socialist has. With Pinochet, you condemn the tactics, but the success of the system speaks for itself. With Castro and the rest, you have to condemn the tactics AND the system because they are always failures.

The reason you seek to change the definition of socialism to include capitalist systems is because you have nothing to point to but starvation and death when it comes to literally every socialist system ever put in place.

Gee, I wonder how the Democratic Socialist party defines themselves? I mean, I'm sure it's a lie, right bobby?

    What is Democratic Socialism?
Democratic socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically—to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few. To achieve a more just society, many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed through greater economic and social democracy so that ordinary Americans can participate in the many decisions that affect our lives.

Democracy and socialism go hand in hand. All over the world, wherever the idea of democracy has taken root, the vision of socialism has taken root as well—everywhere but in the United States. Because of this, many false ideas about socialism have developed in the US.

Please tell us who you think was here first.

A time line on that would be cool too if possible.

When they realized that they had to import people from outside America to keep their party going. This has probably been in their heads since the change in the immigration law in the mid 1960s, but yes, you're right, the craziness has exploded exponentially in the past few years.
