It obviously had the feel of these MAGA kids making a mockery out of the drum song and the native American Indian. The one kid was standing there smiling but seems a huge stretch to say he was blocking his path when the man was pounding his drum in his face singing and made no attempt to go around him. Aside from it maybe being in bad taste by the kids, I don't really see anything that deserves expulsion or even punishment. The whole thing just seemed dumb. And, let's not pretend a majority of white people give a damn about native American Indians. It's a little late for that.

If the original fake news story had been true and the kids had surrounded the native man and were yelling at him, that would be one thing. I bought into the false story at first myself. When the truth came out that the native man and a group that was with him targeted the kids who were just standing around and attempted to push through the middle of them while banging his drum in their face while those with him yelled racist rhetoric it changed things. The kids in this story were actually the victims of 2 racist groups that were attacking them for the color of their skin and the hats that some of them were wearing.
Amazing to think... it the kids didn't act offensively, there would be no problems. If once it first came to the public eye, if people simply said... gee, a teaching moment for the kids... the school and parents apologize, and perhaps something positive arises like kids learn something more about Native American culture and how to act in public. Instead, trump supporters go all out to defend, excuse the kids (and attack others in the process). Which escalates the reaction of those offended. The kids behavior would have been just as offensive if they had been wearing Hope t-shirts and disrespecting Hasidic Jews, Mennonites, Buddhist Monks or any other person in public.

I'm getting my information from watching video of the entire incident from different angles. The kids were standing there waiting for their ride home and the crazy ass black supremacist group started screaming racist rhetoric at them. The native man was not trying to "defuse" the situation, he was attempting to instigate a problem by pushing through the middle of their group while banging his drum in their face and the rest of the native group yelled racist rhetoric at the kids. For the most part the kids just laughed both groups of racists off and then left when their ride home showed up. You are buying into and parroting outright lies that were told by the different racist groups who were going after the kids.
