taught what by their parents? To stand quietly as someone is harassing you? Oh the horrors. Nobody in this thread has managed to explain what the kid did wrong. Maybe you can claim the kids as a whole shouldn't of responded to being harassed by chanting with the harasser, buts that pretty weak.
They distanced themselves from the Black Israelites shouting obscenities, and then stood firm as they were encroached upon by a group of individuals banging (war) drums in their face. They did this while showing restraint, composure, and fortitude. Every bit of MAGA value — I agree, sir.
Well they were white and they had on hats, so far that's the best I can gather from those who think they did something wrong. C'mon man, saying "war drums" is ridiculous. Everything else you said was accurate though.
There really is no point in debating someone like yo. You obviously don't post from a sincere standpoint. If you are going to compare the predicament of ghetto black schools that resulted from 400 years of systemic racist policies to a private Catholic school full of kids who've never been harmed by immigrants chanting about a border wall, there is no point in further discussion.
I'd like to congratulate that teenager for inadvertently becoming one of the most iconic images of white supremacy in history. A real resume builder, son. Maybe he can do a Dr. Phil soon with Bhad Babie
Ah yes, standing and doing nothing in the face of racists who are attacking your group is now a sign of white supremacy. Glad that Sam could chime in with this brilliant take.
NOne of this has anything to do with your claim they they must be racist because they are white. Total dodge. Not that it matters, but there is tons of video and none of it shows anyone chant 'build the wall' that i have seen. The only video footage I've seen shows the native Americans and African Americans saying racist things. Feel free to post your video proof. But even if they do want a wall, So what. so do lots of dems:
There are seriously people still pushing the fake news that the crowd was chanting "build the wall"? LOL, goes to show you that people will defend fake news even in the light of video evidence debunking it....you have to wonder if racism is a factor when people do things like that.
Wow, been busy with church functions the last two days... and no surprise, the same divides on this news item. My grandmother was Native American and born on the Mescalero Reservation in New Mexico, and I was offended by the behavior of the children involved. Don't care what they were wearing, but as a parent if one of my kids were that disrespectful to someone like that... well, I would be embarrassed and would accept blame for their behavior. It appears the school and diocese that the school belonged to both apologized (appropriately). Its a shame the parents haven't. Hopefully the children do as well. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...c-nathan-phillips-black-muslims-a8737186.html
As a DNC propaganda bot, I'm not surprised at your faux outrage or your lies about not caring what they were wearing.....wearing those hats is the ONLY reason that they were verbally attacked by those 2 groups of racists and they did literally nothing wrong.
It really doesn't, it is a DNC propaganda bot, what really happened isn't useful to pushing narratives.
I saw all the videos posted. It was still offensive. And that wasn't just my opinion, but the school's and diocese. And if they were wearing Beto hats I would have still thought it was offensive.
Well it's not just the smiling part, on top of that he was white and wearing a hat. Clearly that is offensive to some and reason to attack children.
I do have to wonder, if it was a group of black children who were being verbally attacked with racist rhetoric by a group of white supremacists and the same native group tried to cut through the middle of them banging drums in their face and yelling at them to go back to Africa....would these white knights be attacking the group of black children for just standing there and laughing at the racists? I'm thinking no. Funny how that is.
Where did I say his life should be ruined. I actually think its a teaching moment. Hopefully he and the other kids that were acting in an offensive manner will learn to be more respectful towards others. And all those that saw the videos. Especially towards an elder (and even more so, an elder of a Native American nation). Shocking that I would be talking about a religious school.
This article provides a summary how both Phillips and the kids were probably confused on what the hell was happening. Phillips thought he was coming to the defense of some black folks who were being menaced by the white schoolboys, when it was apparently more the opposite that was happening.
