my understanding (from a friend who is usually reliable about these kinds of things)-- and I have not watched either video-- is that there is a longer video that shows approximately what dachuda describes. The kid with the hat stayed in one place, the older man approached him. Don't know if anyone can confirm that or not? again, I don't have an opinion one way or another as I have not seen either video here is my friend's comment on fb
The kid was standing still, looking more uncomfortably as time goes on (I personally think he was regretting it). If you buy the BS story that the man was the aggressor, you must then also ignore the mocking from the group that occurred prior. It was clearly not the man walking up to the kid, then the mocking started, as it has already started. As he said, he was trying to find an exit as he slowly move forward, and found himself face to face with a kid that wouldn't let him move on. Who knows what is going on through that kid's head at that moment, but to dial in and completely ignore the surrounding so that you can blame the man and the drum --- well, that's just an amazing ability to compartmentalize your own seeing, hearing and mind.
Then why is Trump so concerned over prayer rugs that he goes out of his way to tweet an unknown source who allegedly found a prayer rug at the border? Again, what’s the concern over prayer? It’s about dog whistle racism if you need color by numbers explanation.
His story is a lie if you watch longer videos that show the whole thing. Their group was gathered waiting on a ride and some black supremacists started yelling at them, at that point the native man decided to head right through the middle of their group banging his drum. Did people make fun of him for it? Yes, but the guy was intending to be a dick. When you have a group of kids who are minding their own business and then they start getting racist nonsense hurled at them from black supremacists and then a native group tries to run right through the middle of their group while throwing accusations at them about being on stolen land....I mean, what do you expect to happen? Like I said before, if the same thing happened to a group that size from my high school back in the day people would have ended up in the hospital for it. Instead the kids just laughed off the crazies and they should be commended for it.
LOL, you know this isn't true so why do you even say it? The talk about prayer rugs on the unsecured US-Mexico border has been an issue for well over a decade. The reason it's brought up is to remind people that it's not just people from central and south America that exploit the unsecured southern border. Remember the report about how "only" 6 terrorists in a 6 month period were apprehended at the southern border? Some would see that as a problem.
Also, it is my opinion that openly mocking and belittling a native American veteran, while chanting “Build That Wall” is probably just a little bit racist regardless of optics and nuanced context.
The guy was intending to provoke them while they were having racist nonsense hurled at them by a black supremacist group, merely mocking him for what he did was a kindness. As to them chanting "built that wall" I haven't seen where that actually happened. Sorry it really does look like this was nothing more than lies pushed by crazy activists.
This is 100% false . The video clearly shows he could of walked around and nobody tried to stop him . Absolutely nobody tried to stop this guy marching. Also this 'he was finishing up his march ' story is a contradiction to his other story that he was try to break a verbal spat between the kids and the African American protesters.
Those kids were mocking him. The suggestion that they were just joining him in his chant is misleading. They were purposefully belitting him. The expressions on their faces makes that plainly obvious.
Nobody belittled him and there is no video of them chanting 'build the wall'. There is video of the native Americans yelling at the kids to 'go back to europe!' And 'you dont be long here'
He deserved to be mocked and belittled for his actions. If you look at the long cut of what happened you'll see that the kids did nothing wrong.
