Irresponsible procreation in Mexico has led to immigration crisis

    Rather, throughout central America.

    Cant file for asylum and exploit birthright loopholes when you refuse to control the number of kids you have.

    Mexico's population has more than quadrupled in past 70 years. No country with that growth rate will have a high standard of living and jobs for everyone.

    No amount of trade or industry can accommodate that. Illegally coming to America in hopes of sympathy only leads to more overdevelooment and a lower quality of life for existing illegals and poor.

    If you really care about kids on the border, this is what you would talk about. Not support them for exploiting the generosity of America.

    Mexico is a third world country. Third world countries are going to do what third world countries do.

    Even though they are still a 3rd world nation, China is in a strong position economically today because they took steps decades ago to account for their population. Many third world countries have shown initiatives in being able to run a well oiled ship and do not rely on exploiting the immigration loopholes of neighbors.

    Latin America and Africa have shown a lack of self restraint , play the victims when it comes to immigration, and show no signs of slowing down.

    Federal shutdown has now almost been a month due to Mexican overpopulation and the loopholes they seek to exploit as a result.

    Liberals are shooting themselves in the foot here, the media can print whatever it wants to but this is the kind of stuff that will get Trump re elected.

    Mexico has a third of the population of the US. Its birthrate is about 2.2 which is about the same as the US.

    Kinda just feels like you’re trying to say there are too many Mexicans. There a real basis for this commentary or not? Because if not, this is the type of **** that needs to be deleted immediately.

    Well, according to OP logic, Mexico has been doing something right the past decade as we are witnessing a decade long peroid of record low illegal border crossings within the past half century .

    Wasn't aware there was a ticker at the border that each illegal stamped as he ran onto land?

    This is supply and demand. When there's too much of a supply, America shouldn't be pressured into over development like the Houston sprawl that see's it struggle every time rain hits. Mexico needs to be held accountable and it can't be done with trade agreements or cash packages, it can only be done through common sense.

    Read the post above. Cause and effect. Been focusing on the symptoms for too long, need to address the root cause. You don't get angry at people for taking away the fuel from a drug addict who makes others dependent, so you can't play the PC card here.

    Many Hispanics are Catholic, The Catholic religion is against birth control. I am not saying this is the main reason the population is rising but it is a contributing factor.

    I don't know if the OP is racist or just being intentionally obtuse and stupid, but the fertility rate and population growth rate has been declining for over 40 years. It's one or the other or a mix of both. At least try to live in reality if you are going to have some sort of edgy, hot take.

    10% of Mexico's native-born population lives in the United States. Might immigration explain some of the decline? Your data table appears to explain as much.

    While anywhere between 13% and 18% of the US population is foreign-born, only about 1% of Mexico's population is foreign born. It turns out the one subject the Mexicans are more sensible about than Americans is immigration policy. Go figure.
