Yes, there's a recent history of white nationalists taking over countries, we did just talk about Nazi Germany, didn't we? China is still a very socialist country. I mean banking is state-owned for chrissakes, most companies still report to China, and if China tells a company to stop doing something then the company stops. They have a state-owned Tobacco company...this is still HUGE (YUUGE) Government. It's cute to watch you defend China's economy though knowing that if we tried any of that stuff here you'd be screaming and crying socialism. Lol, I love that your excuse is "Socialists aren't liberals" yet you'd still be down for executing people because of their political ideology. Amazn. Better than being a Pinochet apologist and don't worry, I'm really not trying to agree with you in the first place. People on the right, like you, loathe socialism until you get a piece of it...then you lie and claim it as capitalism...The military, the police, the public education system, fire department, roads...all socialism in action. None of it has led to mass starvation. Just like how not all capitalist policies lead to slavery...but some can, doesn't mean that capitalism is inherently evil, it's just that some take things TOO far...like how some people on the right here think we shouldn't have a minimum wage...
This is all just horribly inaccurate but then again, can't really expect more from a socialism apologist. I could spell out to you why the military, the police, the public education system, the fire department, and roads are not socialism....especially given that literally all of those things you just said predate socialism, but it's pretty clear to me that you are a lost cause. You've bought the socialist propaganda hook, line, and sinker and honestly I hope you learn the error of your ways at some point so that we can look back on this nonsense you are spewing and laugh about it. .

SMH First public school in America - 1821 Origin of the military in the US - 1775 First public fire department in the US - 1679 First public police department in the US - 1838 First federally funded road in america - 1811 The world's first socialist state - 1936 You can just look at the history of the US and prove that those things existed before socialism.....
Do you think Joseph Dejacque was the first Libertarian? Socialism existed before 1679 but no one called it socialism...but it was still socialism...
Interestingly enough despite the DNC along with everyone with even a shred of credibility cutting all ties with the Anti-Semite march that is going on today, AoC decided to attend.
Ha, how PC of you. African slaves were held in bondage, but they were not exterminated en masse. Your comparison is ridiculous. Frankly, African slaves were way too expensive for their masters to kill off, or even hurt or impair them all that often. The slave holders needed the slaves to be productive, and they would not be that way if they killed them off or even hurt them too badly. Now, I'm not defending any of this. WRT the American Indians, I think your comparison is also not appropriate. Yes, the Indians were treated badly. But they also weren't innocent either. In fact, the Indian tribes were at war with each other centuries before the Euros showed up on North America. The Indians also often gave as good as they got (see: Little Big Horn). Some tribes were probably very mistreated; other tribes probably brought their punishments on themselves. Is American history tainted by how it treated African slaves and American Indians? Yes, without a doubt. But to compare those cases to the mass, systematic, industrialized genocides of the 20th century is frankly ridiculous.
Wow, this is probably the most historically inaccurate post we've ever had on these boards. This is unbelievable. The tribes lived and fought here before Europeans ever came. That doesn't change the fact that they were invaded by Europeans, intentionally slaughtered and murdered in massive numbers. Just because they won some battles when fighting back against the invaders and people who lied and betrayed them, (see Little Bighorn) doesn't mean they brought the punishment on themselves.
At the end of the day we came over to a country with people already on it. We took the country from those people and killed off those people in large numbers. It isn’t unique in history but it is still morally and ethically wrong.
Agreed. I just couldn't believe someone would try and paint it as if both sides were in the wrong in the conflict.
At the Women's March on Saturday AOC apparently accused Donald Trump of being an anti-Semite. David Marcus asks the question "Does AOC Have Any Basis For Smearing Trump As An Anti-Semite?" "Let’s be clear: for a sitting congresswoman to charge not only the president, but his entire administration, with anti-Semitism is a very big deal. Frankly, if AOC really believes this is true, and that Trump puts vulnerable Jewish communities at risk with his bigotry, why isn’t she talking about it more? If this is a serious allegation, and not merely a deflection, what are the examples of the administration’s anti-Semitism? "President Trump’s own daughter is Jewish, he moved the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem after decades of promises, leading other nations to follow our example. Aside from an off-color joke from decades ago about who he likes counting his money, the president has engaged in no anti-Semitic rhetoric. So, what on earth is Ocasio-Cortez talking about?" http://thefederalist.com/2019/01/21/does-aoc-have-any-basis-for-smearing-trump-as-an-anti-semite/
He obviously runs a thin line between catering to parts of his disgusting base (I'm not tagging the more sensitive members among you!), and not actually doing the things done of his alt right aides have said before. What's so hard to distinguish @Federalist?
[ You can google it. Some tribes accepted the settlors and allowed them to co-exist peaceably. Other tribes attacked first without provocation to prevent what they considered to be an invasion of their land. But the settlors probably considered themselves immigrants fleeing unacceptable and hostile conditions (religious persecution and otherwise) who were looking for a better life for themselves and their families. Some settlors attacked the Native American tribes without provocation and considered them less than human. But, it appears that each side engaged in hundreds of massacres -- some certainly prompted by prior acts -- some prompted by the desire to steal land/resources -- but some prompted to prevent foreigners from invading/immigrating to the New World when there was plenty of room for additional people. This is not intended to excuse what was ultimately done to Native Americans. But, if you look at individual conflicts/massacres, there were sometimes two sides and there were even early occasions where a tribe attacked first without the justification of knowing of prior attacks by settlors, but instead simply as a reaction to other people entering their land without their permission. We would find that reaction inexcusable today.
Trump has a Jewish daughter. A Jewish son-in-law. Jewish grandchildren. Yet she is accusing him of anti-Semitism (hate against Jews). Despicable. When did Democrats become such an ardent anti-American, pro-immigrant party? This seems to have literally taken place within the past few years.
