Yes this is my ecological-environmental contribution as well. But I don't recycle at home -- I just throw everything away. Does this make me a bad person?
"Women in Australia are ageing up to 20 YEARS sooner than those in the Northern hemisphere - but this woman's tomato-based product could help stop that sun damage in its tracks." Has nothing to do with the environment. It's because they're partying non-stop. Probably doing meth too.
Hey, what do you have against the mega-rich? They need their tax cuts just like anyone else. Cue Patrick Ewing: "We make a lot, but we spend a lot."
Some conspiracies are real; others are just propaganda. Age and experience helps one tell the difference.
Considering all the imaginary evidence you've presented for your various conspiracies you must be a toddler.
Dont forget the amazon, the lungs of the world, being destroyed at record speed to create dead land for feedlot cattle. This kind of short sighted human stupidity will go on until mass catastrophes are a daily occurrence. Or bacteria, no longer restrained by the checks and balances of a healthy ecosystem , bring back plague wipeouts. It really is depressing for people in the know, so much can be done, but no one wants to lose out on potential revenue for cheap thrills and petty social climbing.
You sir sound extremely intelligent. You don't mention science anywhere in your reasoning. People did evolve from apes.
Ha. Not sure if serious. But I'll say thanks anyway. Evolution is clearly a thing, but whether we evolved from apes, or had a common ancestor, is another thing; and we could probably spend all day on that. Here, I'll mention science, and reference the topic of this thread. I forget the stat, but scientists have said that the overwhelming bulk of species that have lived on earth have died off, and no longer exist as a species. Species die off all the time. It's a well-established tradition in earth's history. And, this was going on millions of years before there was a power plant, a refinery, or an automobile. The dinosaurs were around a lot longer than we humans have been around. And no they're no longer around. And I'm pretty sure that it wasn't a refinery or power plant or automobile that killed them off. The earth goes through changes, and species die off as a consequence. It's just the way it is. And to adopt some silly carbon tax scheme...if only it was ridiculous. But actually, it's worse than that. It's pernicious. It's Marxist-Leftist wealth redistribution, dressed up in the clothes of "saving the earth." Now, I'm for common sense measures that aim to reduce pollution. But new cars barely emit any new CO2 gases or pollution. We are making strides in how we burn and consume fossil fuels. But this Global Warming/Climate change stuff....well, I've probably made my point at this point. Oh, and lastly, with regard to Australia: Yes, its population is dying off. But it's more due to feminism and PC culture than anything else.
You've made no points in your rambling, incoherent attempt at trying to sound knowledgeable. You're hiding behind a screen and having a laugh. Humans are connected to the other species. When all the bee's die, humans will die off in the next 6-9 months. When certain species of insects are wiped out, humans will die within a year. Science shows the population levels of far too many species that are linked to human life are decreasing at record rates. Because well, we're destroying their homes and what they can eat. Their ability to naturally live. Quality of life is a real thing to those fortunate enough to experience it, and not acknowledging overdevelopment and overproduction are decreasing it for all of humanity (rich and poor) every year is the first step towards self destruction. This form of denial is only happening because you feel entitled to a lifestyle you fear will be lost when we start acting with common sense.
I don't doubt that we're all species are connected in numerous ways. I'm sure it's true. You are correct about the bees -- but see, here's the thing. The story about the bees dying out is also environmental hype. I would also agree that we can be a lot smarter about how much we consume, and the process of that consumption. But quality of life is a serious matter, and I think a lot of environmentalists are being very naïve about this. Here's a question: if we do away with fossil fuels, how are you going to get to the grocery store? To grandmother's on Thanksgiving? Do we not want electricity anymore? Do we not want air conditioning? Would anybody on this board want to live in Houston without air conditioning? Any consumption of energy is going to have consequences and externalities. Most people are happy to accept those consequences and externalities, although they might like to reduce and mitigate them. But they don't want to lose their modern way of life. But I get the feeling that a lot of environmentalists want everybody to live in the woods and wear animal skins and travel by foot. Most people aren't going to go along with that. Nor should they. By the way, we're all hiding behind a computer screen -- yes, even you too. It's the nature of a message board.
This is a textbook corporate shill technique - and why you are hiding behind a screen. Because you aren't giving us a view backed by science, or one you believe in, but using manipulative and predatory tactics that are standard throughout all corporate shills far more interested in ensuring their own profits than real discussion. Like a child predator speaking to his prey, your conversations are not real, but only seek to ensure your own selfish desires. This is nowhere near as polarizing as you make it out to be. Say no to fossil fuels and we'll be living in a post apocalyptic era without means to get to the grocery store and living like the cavemen. Or won't be able to grow our foods, which we never needed fossil fuels to grow in the first place! It is the unnecessary and self destructive stranglehold fossil fuels have placed over "modern world living" that can easily be done away with without making it seem like people "lose out" on life. Most people don't know what they like until they are presented with the options. Lazy thinking like well, we can't cut down on CO2 emissions because China won't, we don't want to lose short term profits, is what has gotten us into a crisis of a situation. And corporate lobbyists know exactly what they're doing campaigning against safe nuclear with a proven track record in the past, changing the public transit system to one based on everyone having a car, and installing fossil fuel based agriculture that damages soils and farmer profitability... making them reliant on chemicals. So much is wrong, and even though we have the answers, the man without huge funds doesn't have the flexibility to make innovative changes. Stronger government regulation on waste and consumption isn't restricting anyone from living their best life, but ensuring our kids can have a healthy life without dire consequences. The innovations and solutions are all already out there, and many more are on the way.. the question is how easily can they go live in a world full of shills and hacks like yourself.
Sorry man. I was not even close to being serious. I would take you more seriously if you would reference studies that have been reviewed by other scientists. The only thing I have ever seen you do on here is pontificate on the subject, and show articles mostly from random websites. It is not that hard to do those things if you were actually serious about refuting the vast majority of scientists that spend their lives doing research with calculations you would not even begin to be able to do yourself. Can you even do a simple derivative in calculus? I highly doubt it. Do you know anything about basic chemistry or physics? I highly doubt it. But if you can't do these things no one will take you seriously with half a brain. You many not care at all and enjoy the charade, but yah. By the way, the sixth (The earth...) line you have there makes you sound like a true genius.
Climate change isn't about how hot it is in Australia or how cold it is in NY, it's about the damage being done to farmland, oceans, and coastal areas all over the world.
Maybe it is a good thing, after we self extinct in a few centuries, earth can go back to have more dinos again
Not sure I follow. What choice do you refer to? The choice I made to have the view that I do on the climate change theory/thesis? That would take a long post, if that's what you are asking. But in short, I've seen enough legitimate questions raised about the studies, their proposed solutions, and what actual results their proposals would deliver. Then, you get into motivations that drive the climate change/global warming crowd. Suffice it to say I've seen enough questions raised about this too. But, perhaps you asking about something else.
