Precisely .. his 10 year career arc has him making the same amount of money that he was just offered. Unless House blows up and becomes a star which I highly doubt will be the case, Morey did the right thing. House type players litter the basketball landscape.

Was that ESPN report citing his agent's text wrong or just not telling the whole truth?

I always thought the rockets were clear that it would be an offer similar in structure to Clark’s, meaning there would be qualifying dates.

I bet Morey wishes he hadn’t gone long on Clark.

Reacting to the moment gets you in a world of hurt.

He flashed early and we were reacting to a hole at the 3 spot. A development piece like Clark can be had at anytime. Now he’s taking a roster spot when youre super thin.

so are you saying clark isn't deserving of an actual roster spot?

The precedent wouldn’t have been set, $ wouldn’t have been spent, making retaining house easier on multiple fronts.

No, I’m not high on Clark. I like his body, but not his head.

the precedent of minimum money? $ wouldn't have been spent? not quite following how you're seeing things.

you have an odd way of finding role players then, that fit this team then if you think clark doesn't deserve a spot on an extremely team friendly contract.

I’m taking into context the full situation.

Clark getting converted set a baseline. House outperformed Clark and wants a salary commensurate.

I find it highly likely Clark gets cut before a trigger date next season.

We are up against the LT and every dollar counts. I have a weird way of wanting players that can contribute and as long as we are playing the melo game with a roster spot, it’s more difficult to give another one away.

Well, rockets either convert him for one year or not play him given that he won't sign with us after , why develop him

I disagree. Clark isn't a wing player so comparing him to house isn't really ideal in calculating his value. the contributions he has shown especially defensively isn't going to be cut that easily, especially a young player with potential

This message to whoever you hate House:
If you hate House, it means to me that in you mind House can contribute a lot and he has a lot of value to this game. It does not matter how you evaluate his skills and what kind of words you used.

I didn't realize we had both The Mitten and Luc's brother Roger on our team. Not to mention Chris Walker, who everybody around here seemed to be so high on a few years back.

Lol. I can’t even begin to reply.

You win for thinking he’s not a wing and that his defensive contributions in practice aren’t easily replaced.

Jonathon Simmons gets 3 years 18 million contract at 27. If he plays like this in the playoffs, he can get 2 years 16 million in early July.
There is no way Tilman will pay him because Knight contract is likely to be In the book at the time. That is the reason Morey has no interest in one year deal.
16 million is a lot of money for him.
