If he comes back, we can move Austin rivers to small forward

Not sure where all this hate is coming from...yeah he gets hurt a lot but we need CP3 if we’re going to beat the Warriors. All we need is to make the playoffs....as long as he’s healthy and rested by then we have a shot.

Basically the rockets downplayed the injury like they always do it was was probably worse than what we were told

He's more than rested. The Rockets have played 44 games thus far. Paul has suited up for only 26 of them. And he's obviously not gonna play tomorrow, so he'll be out for at least a few more games. Even if he manages to stay healthy the rest of the season after he returns(and does anyone seriously believe that'll happen?), he'll barely play more than 50 games.

I've said many times that you have to price in 20-25% of the season missed by CP3 every year, but this is closer to 40%. For a dude making 40 mil a year, that's inexcusable. Especially since he gets hurt in the playoffs nearly every season(2017 was the lone exception, and that was likely due to the Clippers getting knocked out in Round 1).

Yeah , CP3 had a few games where he looked like some dude at the rec center … making boneheaded turnovers , who is that guy ? C3p0 ?

As for Rivers , I HATED that guy on the other team ….He's one of those guys … you love them on your team and hate them on the opposition.
He's an NBA coaches son , you expect him to have very sound fundamentals and take care of the ball ….He's been really solid here , wouldn't mind him sticking around another year or two.

At this moment, I would be more excited to hear that we sign a quality back up big then CP3's return. We are pretty stacked at the guards right now. That seems to be one of the problem for Morey, we either get too many short bigs and only 2-3 guards (remember few years ago, we got all these 6'9" PF/C on the team but only got James, beverley, Terry at the guards which can play?) or like the current team we have too many 1s, but got no quality back up center. SMH.

I don't think he's fragile either. Showing up to the games healthy seems to be a big problem for our roster.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but Tim MacMahon on one of the ESPN podcast said the the rockets were targeting the Toronto game for CP3 return

As long as he is back about 3 weeks before the playoffs, I am happy. A healthy and rested CP3 will be killer in the playoffs.

He should come back during the playoffs, we actually do not need him atm.

As long as he is at 100% and hitting on all cylinders by playoffs that's all that matters. At this point, we just need to get into the playoffs...doesn't matter who we play...all teams (besides GSW) are the same in my opinion.

Good, because we'll need him in that one. The Rockets have a decent shot to beat the Lakers and Knicks. They'll lose to the Sixers.

rivers was very good in playoffs as far as my sporadic watching of him says.. i remember he killed rockets in playoffs he at least won 1 or 2 games vs rockets for clippers... if he can do it for rockets it will be awesome

rivers has had random solid games but there's a whole lot more duds in the playoffs then those. And its been a long time since he had any sort of playoff relevance. he shouldn't need to be relied upon to be great assuming the rockets are healthy but if he can avoid being a dud, he should be able to help
