Agreed. Locking out House, especially in light of all the injuries we have, not only puts more burdens on Harden, but also risks losing important chemistry building toward the playoffs, not to mention the potential losses that might put us in the lower bracket of the playoffs.

I am not sure if it is Morey or Tiliman. But the last minute conversion tactic (if the FO is indeed thinking that) makes sense only from the financial and negotiation sense. It doesn't make basketball sense for THIS SEASON.

sign him 1 year to prevent injuries and then let him go. I think it still worth. Our injuries salary is more than that. using new joiners also makes us lose some matches. Morey should calculate about this

I've seen the likes of Ryan Anderson getting a better deal. The worthiness of Ryan Anderson in last years playoffs has blinded Darryl morey and to some extent, and morey is quick to play hard ball with funding after Ryan anderson left us deflated. Ryan Anderson last year was a 19 million dollar bust!

The play making ability of Danuel house is close to the level of Chuck hayes, and rockets lost out.

Great post and I don't disagree that Harden needs help. It is egotistical and/or foolish to waste games and exhaust Harden for the sake of holding on to a principle (or even worse, to maintain precedence).

What are the opportunity costs of us signing House? Obviously a serviceable player that fits our style and fills a need - helping us win. Is the buyout market expected to be that great? Historically the buyout market isn't a game changer. Are we confident in making trades where we need an extra spot open? Even if so would it be worth risking the next few weeks of the schedule with how tight the West is?

Honestly, I have more questions than opinions on this matter. My comment is more related to whether or not this is Tilman being cheap or Morey playing his typical hard-ball or perhaps both.

I would not bring that bum back, he has an overinflated ego, considering he was cut by 2 teams just this season.

He was placed on waivers and nobody picked him up only 3weeks ago.

how you gonna be out here liking a Dinwiddie post after a loss that tough?

i would not be surprised if he is never brought back, not cool dude not cool.

Don’t be a crybaby. I was stating something unfortunate. Wasn’t trying to break any news.

Before that it wasn’t so obvious that it was just negotiating.

Yep, not cool at all. That’s immature and so unprofessional. Let him rot in g-league then.

It is what it is. I respect that he is looking out for his financial future but, just like many have already stated, he shined on this team after many failed stints throughout the league. He's relatively young so maybe he'll learn from this situation that, unless you're an elite player, you can't throw away opportunities like this.

I'm sure it's been said before but getting advice from the same agents that's also representing Markelle Fultz might not be the most intelligent of decisions.

After the losses to the bucks and the magic, the team is treading water.

IMO the management could have given House the MLE (mid level exception) as an act of good will or good publicity.

At the end of the day, it is Darryl Morey's budget, and he is free to spend it as he sees fit.

I have to wonder if he is gonna excell in the G leagueleague, nobody is gonna be willing to take a back seat to help House get his numbers up.

And if he is not willing to play team ball they have no reason to play him big minutes.

I hope I am wrong but I can see this ending very badly for him.

I wonder who he thinks he can use that MLE space on in the buyout market this season rather than using part or all of it on House. Parsons? RoLo?

Maybe there's a trade somewhere to be completed with multiple players coming back?
