morey doesnt factor in the emotional impact of the team watching a guy whos been busting his butt be undervalued... not to mention, Morey could convert him to a 1 year deal no prob... but he's playing games trying to lock him up on a longer deal for peanuts... #asset
Single star plus role player teams, no matter how good the single star is and plays during the regular season, they have issues in the post-season. That type of team works if you're in the early 2000's Eastern Conference and your competition is other single star teams with possibly worse surrounding role players, where the first seed wins like 49-52 games. When those types of teams face more balanced and multiple star teams, it just doesn't tend to work out so well. Teams are going to take the chance in the playoffs the role players are going to out produce their offense and defend them well enough for 4/7 games and just load up on Harden. Starters minutes go up which means Harden rests and your bench with no star might be going up against an opposing bench with a star / close to star or two, and those minutes can kill you.
What’s to suggest that House’s “prime” (current level of play next to the mvp) deserves anything more than the minimum?

Yea we need this guy back. Athletic defensive wing that can hit the corner 3 at a good clip. He deserves more than the minimum.
Tilman is the problem. He just want money, he doesn't eant to build a championship team. Morey just follow his orders.
Harden is the best player on the planet and the front office is ****ing around and not giving him enough help. Just a stupid gamble right now as short handed as they are to allow House to be wasting time in the G league. You have Mr. Glass Gordon who's probably about to be out another month after limping out late in the game. Harden is too good right now to be thinking about down the line. Put the best team you can possibly put on the floor around Harden NOW!
I understand I'm probably too hard on MDA at times .... But really !! Wtf is he doing playing Chriss over Hartenstein. Every time Chriss is on the floor he looks disinterested and makes mental mistakes .... every time hartenstein is on the floor he hustles and you can see the gears turning trying to make the right play . Hartenstein makes rookie mistakes and IMO gets called for "rookie fouls" ... but his contribution is still WAY better than Chriss . He showed it again just last game . If nene can't play we need to go ahead and cut him for a live body . Tarick black is an upgrade at this point because at least he can stay on the floor for 20 minutes !
Genuinely curious. How many here think we should convert House for the rest of the season if it means losing him in the off-season via RFA?
