Why did Austin Rivers got waived. Why did House sign with nobody. Why was Green playing with his dog if he could have signed with someone.
You’re being intentionally obtuse. Would you agree to work for what you felt was less than your current market value for 3 years?
We have an expression in the Army “ Perception is reality”. His perception is that he can make more as a RFA. This is his reality. Since House’s perception is the only one that matters right now, it’s the reality.
Every time this guy touches the ball he'll probably be firing it up Gerald Green style. Hope he makes a few.
What he feels is his current market value and what reality is are two different things. I don't believe any team is going to give him a better contract than that. But it's entirely possible, but not probable, that some dubious GM could offer something in the realm of 3yr/9mil and even then it may not be guaranteed.
While true, it isn’t really relevant. House’s perception that he will get paid more than the minimum is his reality ( I happen to think he’s correct). Morey is drawing a hardline because of LT considerations and (I think he’s right as well ) Ultimately,House is betting on himself. Honestly I think both are doing the right thing to preserve their own interests.
House hopes we start losing a game here and there and get desperate to pay him what he wants. I am sure they will work out a fair deal.
I think covington would still he a rocket if he got minutes from mchale. Or at least traded for pieces.
Rockets wanted him. He wanted minutes and more than the minimum to come over from Europe. Rockets and he were close to a deal. The Rockets signed Ennis in the interim and Nunnally wasn’t too happy about it and took to Twitter. He ended up signing with the Wolves. I had hoped the Rockets would replace Luc and Trevor with Ennis and Nunnally (based on our financial situation). No one should expect miracles from Nunnally but he was one of the better players in Europe. He is considered a good three point shooter and defender that enjoys covering multiple spots on the floor. He will be in the ideal spot to maximize his game and could fit in well.
I know that Thibs didn’t like his defense early in the season. However he has an excellent reputation for defense at the highest level in Europe and most scouts think that he is a positive defender. His game is to defend multiple spots, shoot open 3’s and cut to the basket. He limits his time handling the ball and doesn’t turn the ball over. Very much a role player but fits what the Rockets need. I am not worried about his 3 percentage, a little wary of his defense because Thibs wasn’t a fan and Thibs is the best defensive coach in 50 years. Still the Rockets run a different system. He is considered a smart player so he shouldn’t have the switching issues Ennis has sometimes.
His frame is similar, I would say Ariza is likely stronger but there is nothing wrong with Nunnally’s frame. Only thing physically that Ariza has a big advantage over Nunnally is his height/reach. That 3 inches makes a difference.
Lol ... the obtuse part made me pee a little... A little comprehension goes a mighty long way! Why don’t you read my post again, perhaps the second time around you’ll get the gist of my post. Looking forward to your rebuttal! Lol ... obtuse ....... ....... .......
This is excellent information. I too am worried about the defense, but perhaps the "switching system" will unlock Nunnally some more. He just has to be average defensively. If he can hit three 3's a game to keep the defense honest, they would be good enough. Role and fit mean a lot to role players. This might be the most optimal spot for him to unlock what he can do. This is a good read.
I’m still waiting to hear if you would agree to work for less than you feel you’re worth for 3 years. But I suspect we all already know the answer Go clean yourself up
