Best 3 & D guy in Europe. Whats not to like? Maybe another Pat Bev situation.

So, after the 10 day, or second ten day, if he sticks, what does he cost us for the season vs House? And what are the cap/luxury tax implications?

They can probably offer the same deal 3-4M per year over 3 years.

Or, like many other former Harden teammates, he signs with another team for more money, and then fails to live up to his contract because his success was predicated on the Rocket's system and James Harden in particular.

That's a very real possibility, one House Jr's agent should have mentioned. I doubt if the agent, looking to get a payday from a larger House deal, is emphasizing that possibility to him. House could go from starting for Houston, or at least being a key rotation player on a contending team, to end of the bench material somewhere else. If it's all about the money, House may not care about the risk of that happening, but leaving Houston? He has to be hating the idea. I can't help but think that we have a very confused young man right now who's headed for the Valley.

I do think that he has a better chance of being a good defender with Houston but it's going to be a learning curve

OK! Excuse me for not getting excited about a 6' 7" acquisition, unless he is just a replacement for House, Where is our big man Morey? We need a veteran backup for Clint!!!! Someone who doesn't have jello hands and the speed of legs stuck in quicksand please.

Best case scenario: Nunnally fits right in and earns a contract for rest of year, or even multi-year contract. Then House changes mind and accepts multi-year contract, takes Melo's roster spot. That way, in a league with a wingman scarcity, Rockets have House, Nunnally, and Clark all young, cheap, and under contract for a few years. Hitting on those minimum guys is how Houston differentiates itself from the rest of the pack.

I have high hopes for this guy. At the very least he could be a Troy Daniels type of player.

Not really. He has a good 3 point shot too, but he is frequently injured. I saw him miss a very easy layup because he couldn't get any lift in a G League highlight some time ago. Vince is a bit more athletic than Ariza for comparison. Defensively he needs to get a lot better, but he has potential on that end.

Based on what guys signed for last summer and the number of better FAs this summer, doubt it.
