He was one of the few who actually played with constant hustle and D . Expect the Ls to pile up if Ennis is back to starting. Dude can't play D to save his life . Still don't see why we paid Clark if we are barley going to play him
i'm sure morey has a backup plan. gotta be bazemore or something. getting rid of picks for a better player....
EG had already taken Ennis' starting job before either of them got hurt. No reason to think he won't resume that role.
Rockets can still convert him till the end of the season...just can't sign a replacement two-way in his place if no agreement to convert occurs tonight.
We also don't know how realistic house is being . He's starting right now ... maybe in his eyes he thinks he can get full MLE or ~5 mil this summer and is holding out for that . Morey may have offered 3/9 and he's not taking it . At this point , I am just hoping for a 2 year deal . Sure he's a FA a year sooner than if we lock him up for 3 , but he'd also be playing for a contract next year which is always nice . We have some time to sort this out ... and if Clark or Ennis or Gordon play well ... it could mean that house has a severely diminished role in the rotation . Without knowing what House was asking for I don't think we can go apeshit on Tillman and Morey yet . At worst , he comes back up and is a FA this summer .
furthermore, houston can just convert him to a minimum contract for the rest of the season without his approval..its a team option to convert for the remainder of the two-way term.
This seems like a fair deal(s), how much does House want!? House has been playing well, but 2 months doesn't make you indispensable.. TAKE THE MONEY!!
Not surprised by this at all. It may be the right move by both sides. We don't know what House and his agent were asking for. We don't know what Morey was offering. So, it's hard to judge if any party is being unreasonable. House has played well recently. So, I'm not surprised that he may think he could possibly get something more than a minimum offer this summer. It's a business, so he's trying to do what's best for him. I just wonder if he will get any minutes with the Vipers. The Rockets may not want to risk him getting injured in case they decide to sign him to a regular contract later this season. Also, if he puts up huge numbers with the Vipers, his value may go up.
Yeah but who the hell knows when his fragile ass will actually be back considering it's Houston injury luck . I can't stomach more Ennis minutes
House is screwing up here. You can’t give up the opportunity to play big minutes in the NBA to show the league you can play at this level. That’ll help you get paid in due time. Sounds like House thinks he’s earned some money for his 25 games here. This thinking could cost him his NBA career.
No way that was our best offer . If it was .... then Tillman is gonna ruin our franchise . "Tax concerns" my ass .
