That is 100% a blocking foul though. Viewing that as "Harden gets away with..." except it's the defender getting away with physical defense by chest bumping the ball handler. So it's an even playing field as far as I'm concerned. The whole ref/Harden conversation seems to miss the fact that even though refs allow Harden to live off contact, they let the defenders live A LOT too. There were several, SEVERAL plays just last night where on slow-mo replays you could count 3, 4 fouls in a row. One I counted 7 fouls by 4 players. They only call one! lol... like obvious, no argument type fouls. Tomahawks, hip checks, hacks...
I waste so much time arguing with dumb people about why Harden is doing something amazing. Latest argument - if you drop Jordan and Kobe in this era, they automatically score 40. So Harden's scoring is no big deal.
Watching Harden makes me physically tired. The guy is in top tier shape. I just hope he takes care of his body much like Lebron has throughout his career.
If your ts% is over 60, you are not taking "too many shots". It's really that simple. I want Harden to take as many shots as he wants as long as he maintains above 60% ts.

When CP is out, and EGo it out, and Capela is out... and your other options are Austin Rivers (signed off the scrap heap), Danuel House (signed from the G League), Gerald Green (did you know he was sitting on his couch when we called him?).... then I would sure hope that Harden would take a lot of shots
For arguements sake, lets say he DOES take ALL the shots. If a team can win with 1 player taking all the shots then I say: "Keep that player taking all the shots!" Problem is, if a teams 'star' player takes all the shots then it's most likely that team will lose. This makes the truly great ones like Harden stand out. Mind you, this is one player 'taking all the shots' that happens to be on one of the highest scoring teams in the league.. WOW.. IF ONE PLAYER can do that, then that allows the franchise to surround him with 4 defensive specialists. I just don't understand the stupid 'he takes all the shots' logic. If that weren't efficient then that team would lose. So far Harden has carried us to multiple western conference finals.. which in reality is the true NBA finals. He is WINNING right now with a team who's second best player is arguably(along with PJ).. AUSTIN RIVERS
