These I give up posts and higher road posts aren't actually good arguments. What I see are people who can't handle hard truths running with their tail between their legs.

In truth, dems know walls work and fear it will cut into their future plans to win the country by changing the electorate to low education foreigners and their children who will likely take on their political views. Those of the destitute who rely on the system like the good welfare slaves they are. They will tow the line to vote blue. This is obvious, and the fact that they won't take an obvious move like DACA is even more telling. They know the wall will end their plans. Just look at the demographic projections of this country and it is rosy for the democrats if various groups keep up their voting patterns. They also value cheap labor, because let's face it, globalists don't care about the working class and they certainly love seeing their corporate donors show up with that big fat checky. The Democrats are a corporation basically and they don't actually value anything. They only care about their power and money. Once you see this simple truth, which applies to Republicans too, then you start understanding politics.

Not true. I have seen a few people want to abolish borders on this forum and plenty more outside of it.

Do you live anywhere close to Texas or the border by any chance?

You need to pay a little closer attention to what many of the left are saying, then...because many of them are arguing for open borders. So not false at all.

    Link 1
    Link 2
    Link 3
    Link 4
    Heck, all the links....

Note, the NYT might appear to be an outlier in this list...but is directly refuted in several of the others.
"A New York Times fact-check argues that “no, Democrats do not want ‘open borders.’” But it immediately and spectacularly falls flat because it fails to account for the unprecedented shift in liberal rhetoric and ignores the unmistakable new guard emerging on the Left.

The main fault of the fact check is the assumption that the current immigration debate is like everything before it. Anyone flipping through cable or scrolling through Twitter can see that this simply isn’t true. While both parties at least seemed to agree on the problem if not the solution in years past, liberals can’t even accept the humanity of conservatives who disagree with them."

Even if it were false, which it isn't....politics these days is all about the narrative. Nancy hasn't done a good job of getting her narrative across. Even worse, she's said things that just promote Trump's narrative. Then you have the whole issue of all those Democrats against this...when there were in favor of it when Obama proposed it. Easy cannon fodder, and hard to reject with a sound bite. Especially when the main sound bite is 'Walls are immoral', which isn't true...and wasn't their stance previously.

I am sorry, did I get it wrong? Do the poor low education foreigners usually not need government social programs that Democrats dangle for votes? Look up those numbers yourself. You do realize that the political elites have known this game for years? And you are just now learning about it... Interesting.

I see it differently. In this analogy, the pigeon flies away scared with crappy memes. That being you. I'll gladly be the pigeon who doesn't run and actually stays on the chess board (the argument in this analogy, since you need help with thinking).

Either way you wish to spin this, you are acknowledging that you are a pigeon, full of **** that you are leaving on D&D, and your birdbrain thinks you are winning. Good we are in agreement!

    Yes, you did.

You are ignorant. It is on you to be less so.

I want to find common ground with some of you who want to just post pictures. Common, let's agree on something. I mean it.

How about this. The border could use more walls and better ones where it is just fencing? Isn't that reasonable? Really, please just be serious and let me know your thoughts. Let's be civil and listen. I think the thread is a bit heated, so we should try to agree on some things that sit in between our views and what not. I don't say a complete wall by the way, I just say more in key areas and better walls where they need updating.

I see it very differently. The Constitution very clearly gives purse strings to the House and public opinion is very clearly with the Dems except among the 30% who would prefer to die rather than vote Dem.

If Trump was confident that the Supreme Court would validate him, he would have already declared a national emergency.

Declaring an emergency would be a desperation move that would likely end in failure and be a stunning personal defeat for Trump.

At this point if kind of like to see it go to the Supreme Court. If the court sides with Trump, at least the American Republic will die a quick death at the hands of the American Empire and not linger.

The image is from the commercial where one old lady says to the other "That's not how any of this works". So either the image link worked, or I am clairvoyant.

Gee, you are so argumentative and trump-like that you won't admit you are wrong. Even on something so easy and dumb as this.

Ok, last offer and it's a great deal! It costs absolutely nothing!

Trump agrees to immediately resign the Presidency and President Pence immediately gets the full $5 billion.

I just want you to know, that I think you posts are great. Even if we disagree. Also it is very possible and I do prefer Congress to do something. But Trump could also make a compelling argument for the crisis and declaring emergency anyways. I would actually really love to see him try because you may be right about a court. Wouldn't that be interesting either way? Then we would know for sure. Of course, I think Trump may play a long game, and want the Dems to look weak to people who favor DACA and to most of the Americans who support border control. This could definitely be a tactic to set him up for a winning position in his next election. He bet his election on this issue last time and I think he will bet on it again. After all, why switch strategies if you think it will work again? Also he must prove that he has exhausted all available options before declaring an emergency. So I guess we will find out. Good point though, it is highly possible he doesn't feel confident about declaring it.

I really don't see it. Thank you for telling me about it though. I am not trying to argue it really.
