so freaking tired of this line of narratives. Lazy argument with so much hate. Check this out. In this play, he drew all 5 defenders at him and lead to a wide open three and a made basket by Green at the corner. This is not a fluke. Harden is the MVP by the definition of it.
What was the hate there? He takes a lot of shots but he makes a lot of shots. Got a beard like a Billy goat.
The video is nothing but complimentary, and a good example of how Harden affects the game even when he's not shooting. It's not readily apparent, but OP is presenting it as a counterpoint to the "he just takes a lot of shots" narrative, not an example of it.
Dude, you gotta write better... this was an extremely complimentary piece about Harden. There was no hate, it wasn't "lazy", it was great breakdown of some interesting NBA plays.
It's rather unfortunate that we have been conditioned to look for any possible perceived slights in the media just like how the media looks for any room or opportunity to criticize Harden. Both are equally bad.
Great analysis actually. Maybe the point where the guy says harden is allowed to the shove the defender can be read as hate, but the rest was showing Hardens incredible impact even when he doesn't score.
@YallMean dude, change the way you worded your post. This video was nothing but complimentary, but people in here didn't watch it, and are just running with your post thinking Legler and SVP were being critical.
This was a good video although SVP doesn’t like Harden. He’s been pretty open about not liking his play style but he didn’t show it this time. Kind of hard to show hate on this season Harden is having
I'm tired of the narrative but this appears to not be it chief. "If Curry took that many shots and got the same foul calls as Harden, he'd put Hardens stats to shame" That's the narrative I hate. 1. Curry cant shoot the shots Harden does because He doesnt have the footwork to perform the step back He doesnt have the strength to drive and drive and drive into defenders He doesn't create his own shot like Harden does and relies on being assisted 2. Curry doesnt have the skills to draw fouls like Harden does 3. Curry is too weak and frail to take the physicality that James does every night 4. Curry doesnt have the stamina to play as many minutes as Harden while being the entire offense.
Harden takes a lot of shots because he makes a lot of shots, therefore points. He also makes a lot of assists, which means more points. And he gets to the line, hence more points. Really, he just makes points. Real points, not fabricated points like some of his critics push. This guy isn't an Iverson-type volume shooter.
