This man is averaging 35 points a game (okay okay it’s actually 34.8)...that’s just insane!! Especially to go with the 8+ dimes.
teh mvp is basically the bspn best player award. even they don't really know the parameters of what makes a player mvp.
As a dude noticing more and more grey in his beard I still laughed my ass off at this! I hope that everyone here is raising their grandkids right by teaching them good Rockets basketball and good beer.
This 17 game run is crazy. Not only has he scored all these points, but he's gone from averaging 8.1 assists to 9.2 over this scoring spree. He's not sacrificing one part of his game, he's elevating everything. Even his defense looks more focused.
Unfortunately I think it’s going to be tough for James to keep the assist average where it is due to the Capela injury.
Repost of my post If the scoring leaderboard hold by season's end the margin between him and Curry would be the largest gap in terms of scoring leaders since 86-87 when MJ won the scoring crown with 37.1 ppg and 'Nique came in second with 29 ppg (8.1 difference). In fact, this would be only the THIRD time since the 1963-1964 season that the difference is greater than 5. Wilt, MJ, and Harden. Needless to say, historical pace right here folks
A rolling big man who can finish consistently is a staple in a MDA-type offense, second only to an elite guard playmaker. With Capela out, I wonder if his assist numbers will drop significantly. Though, last night I thought there was a lot of "hockey" passes that led to points, so I'm not sure. This stretch even with Gordon coming back will be very interesting and fun to watch because it'll be like Kobe's 05-06 year (look at that roster) when he averaged 35.4 ppg on 35 FGA, 4.4 assists to his 3.1 turnovers. He literally did everything for his team - with no other star to come back and alleviate the burden. This stretch will be nothing short of pure gold - peak James Harden.
