If Nene started the season as our primary backup big and we can't even rely on him to play 15 min a game or back-to-backs, that's a huge error by Morey to not prioritize backup 5 more.

Maybe he thought Zhou Qi was the future but he gone.

 

We're in a pickle and that sucker's sour. This really sucks. Morey has to conjure an effective big man out of thin air. You can do it, Daryl.

60-year-old Hakeem is probably better than any of our so-called centers at this point. We started out the season with ONE playable center and ONE playable PG. We were lucky to get Rivers after CP was down. Now are we so lucky to get another cheap guy to play center for us?

Personally I think IF we get Gordon/ Paul back in a reasonable amount of time ... that we can make due with nene , hartenstein , and Clark .

PJ will probably play some 5 , but now we have Ennis and Clark to help pick up minutes at the 4 .

Also harden defends the 4 well . If he gets some help on the offensive end I think we can weather the stretch

I'm expecting more from Nene and hartenstein that what they gave us tonight though

 

Capela is the most important player not named Harden on this team. Harden makes everything go as far as the offense but Clint is our defensive anchor and he does a lot of things right. He set picks, pick and roll, rebounds, catch lobs, finish around the rim, rebound, and protects the rim. We need to find someone to fill in for him and what we have on our bench wont be anything close to what Clint provides. Most likely through a trade, we need to find a back up center ASAP

 

Nene's only good for one or two games a week (15 minutes per)
and let's be real , we both know those other two will hardly play when Gordon/Paul come back.
Wiener schnitzel only saw 7 minutes tonight as is.

With Clint out, guys need to step up.

Every second on the floor has to count. I do not want to hear that a player only played X minutes, make an impact on every possession somehow.

Someone ELSE needs to be the best rebounder, someone ELSE has to lead in steals, just be focused on doing one thing really well and that will allow Harden to rest in that area.

 

need to move fast really to get a player, doesn't have to be a star. Need someone who can play though.
