We said again and again we need big player. This is why we need.

Morey obviously did not think so. Sign.

I guess the Worriers were able to find someone with @Louka's negative vibes power, and they started a thread.

We're going to have to find that thread and shut down its BBS.

How did we do without Capela, CP3 and Gordon?

What I hate most about this injury is that Clint was finally strong enough to play significant minutes every game. He's averaged more than 36 in January.

I'm sure he'll keep in shape while resting his thumb, but that's not game shape. Add another couple of weeks when he returns before he gets back that point again.

Naw, it wasn't Asik it was Joey Dorsey. JOEY DORSEY and still Harden made it work.. It can be done. Harden can do it.

Capela's injury doesn't change that the Rockets currently live and die with Harden's 3-point shot. Don't be surprised if he puts up a really, really special game during Clint's absence. Like a 60 or even 70 point game.

    Yes, there is.

Had Capela's injury been season-ending, the Rockets could have applied for a Disabled Player Exception in the amount of one-half of Capela's salary. However, because Capela will be back during the season, this exception is unavailable to the Rockets.

There is another type of "hardship exception" available to teams overcome with excessive injuries. I believe if a team has four or more players out injured who have each missed at least 3 consecutive games, then the league may allow that team to sign a 16th player to an NBA contract. However, the team must go back down to 15 NBA contracts once an injured player returns so that the team no longer qualifies. Given the Rockets' luxury tax situation, it is not a given that they would apply for a hardship exception. Eric Gordon is almost ready to return, for instance. But it could come into play if the injuries were going to continue and the Rockets wanted to consider adding a 16th player via 10-day contract.

However, the most likely source of "temporary injury reinforcements" would be via two-way contracts. Assuming that House gets signed to an NBA deal tomorrow, the Rockets can add a second two-way player by the end of the day tomorrow. That player (along with Vincent Edwards) could fill in for injured players, all while counting $0 against the cap/tax.

The value of Danuel House increases when Capela is out?

    2-year 3 million contract increases to 2-year 6 million?

D’Antoni: I try to stay out of it. That’s not my business; that’s the front office and him. For him, it’s an important time and a business time, I’m not going to tell him something that might be true one of these days. I don’t want to get into that. They’ve got to figure that out.

Well i am not disagreeing with this but I'm not wrong about Harden making playoffs with Asik.

Unless u r stating that Asik > Dorsey and even then harden still made it into playoffs, also tru.

Thankfully, we just need the guys for the playoff push and to stay healthy.

Paul will be the biggest ? mark. Capela will be fine for the playoffs.

Are you from Arkansas? I haven't heard that expression in my time, and it was from a friend from Jonesboro. (as all get out)

Well Asik was the starting Center no matter the skill level (Asik is better than Dorsey). I'm pointing out that Harden has faced adversity when his starting center has gone down before.Harden is better now than he was then. I just need Clutchfans to remember.

Isn't there a Maternity-Leave Exception? Can't we use that on Marquese Chriss? Or does he have to add a "y" to the end of his name, first.

    Capela is out

House's agent could ask for fair market value at this moment due to short staffing.

If Morey sends him back to G -League, fans will be frustrated.

I'm here to share the pain of any potential losses and to partake in any celebrations in the case that we make it thru this. Here's to hoping EG was taking time off to work on his jumpshot. We'll need it, though I'm not too confident seeing as his practice clips are mainly of layup drills.
