We need to stop playing games in a Florida, first CP3 goes down in Miami, now Capela gets hurt in Orlando. State is cursed.

Clint is young and being fresh is the least of our concerns with him. Rockets' interior defense has really been lacking and it showed against the Bucks. Losing Capela during such a crucial stretch can only exacerbate that issue, one would imagine. Sorry bro but this injury couldn't have come at a worse time with so little games separating seeds 1 thru 14.

    lol ok.

You said the next 15 were tough. It’s probably the softest part of our full season schedule.

How are injury riddled team performs is another story.

Alright then. I'm not worried. Rockets are at their best when they are underdogs.

yeah there's some tough games in that 15 game schedule. But If the rockets maintain a .500 level in that stretch, they still have a good amount of games left with everyone back. 25 remaining games can impact a lot of shifting in the standings. Now if they drop 90% of the games w/o capela, things will look pretty bad with the record they already dug themselves in.

    1. Get everybody healthy.
    2. Use each guy's time off the court to get the others comfortable with how to play without him.
    3. Try to avoid hitting GS in the first 2 rounds.

Well that should just about do it. Considering no one else on the team can get a mother f'in board. Is this the curse of Caramel Melon Anthony being signed?

Its way more than than just the Jazz. The Kings, Wolves, Pels, Mavericks and the Grizzlies are all 3 games or less from the 8th seed. The west is a complete bloodshed this year. The Rockets can EASILY slip out of the picture if they have a stretch where they lose 5 out of 7 games or so which is extremely possible with the schedule ahead.

I am sure the team will discuss how they want to proceed but I do believe Morey is going to have to make a move and give up a future draft pick unfortunately for a "band-aid" situation. Nene isn't a capable starting center unfortunately anymore. He is a great backup in limited minutes but not a starter. They need a starting center, especially with the teams they are set to face coming up. Honestly given Paul's age I do think the team does need to make a move because Paul only has so many great years left in him to sort of "pack it up" right now is going to hurt really bad, especially when Harden is in his prime. RoLo is a great screen setter and rebounder and has size but he isnt the same vertical threat that Capela is. But he would be the perfect 'band-aid' and of course an amazing backup to have once Capela is back.

It sucks because the Rockets have traded away a ton of FRP of late from previous trades and given this current roster FRP is the best way for the Rockets to add quality talent cheaply.

    DEANDRE JORDAN

I said in the trade thread a week ago, throw some seconds maybe at first at the mavs for Jordans expiring. It would be nice to have 2 solid bigs in the playoffs.

Now it would be nice to have one for 6 weeks.

This was a proactive approach that can still maybe work.
