Pure coincidence, trump lickspittles? Do any of you other than @Os Trigonum read or watch anything other than Breitbart and Fox News? There's a whole world out there, kids, full of information, not pure propaganda. You should check it out sometime. You might even be surprised.

Try BBC.com, a superb news source that covers the entire world. Interested in news about the British military, and the impact of trump's policies? Look at ukdefensejournal.org. Have an interest in the views on trump's impact on Australia's international relations, political and military? One source where you can find intriguing information if you dig only a little, a source used by Australian political and military movers and shakers, is lowyinstitute.org.

Those last two are non-profit organizations that a lot of important people from those countries both write for and read. There are literally dozens of excellent sources for news and opinion untainted by American political bias, if that's something that keeps you up at night. I thought it worthwhile to post just a couple in hopes that it might encourage an attempt at a broader understanding not only of what is happening here, but it's impact on countries around the world - friends, allies, and adversaries. Give it some thought.

NewRoxFan obviously doesn't need the help! ;)

The correct answer would have been “no.” This is the stable genius that people have allowed to con them.

Pirro: Are you now, or have you ever worked for Russia Mr President?

Trump: I think it’s the most insulting thing I’ve ever been asked. I think it’s the most insulting article I’ve ever had written. And if you read the article, you’d see that they found absolutely nothing. But the, the headline of that article, it’s called “The failing New York Times” for a reason, they’ve gotten me wrong for three years. They’ve actually gotten me wrong for many years before that. But you look at what’s going on, you know, I fired James Comey. I call him lying James Comey, because he was a terrible liar, and he did a terrible job as the FBI director. Look at what happened with the Hillary Clinton and the e-mails and the Hillary Clinton investigation, one of the biggest screw-ups that anybody’s ever seen as an investigation. And what happened after I fired him? Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, his lover, Lisa Page, they did it. And, you know, they’re all gone. Most of those people, many, many people from the top ranks of the FBI, they’ve all been fired or they had to leave. And they’re all gone. This is what they were talking about. And, obviously, nothing was found. And I can tell you this, if you ask the folks in Russia, I’ve been tougher on Russia than anybody else, any other — probably any other president period, but certainly the last three or four presidents, modern day presidents. Nobody’s been as tough as I have from any standpoint including the fact that we’re doing oil like we’ve never done it, we’re setting records in our country with oil and exporting oil and many other things, so, which is obviously not great for them, because that’s what they, that’s where they get their money for the most part. But many other things. So I, I think it was a great insult. And the New York Times is a disaster as a paper. It’s a, it’s a very horrible thing they said, and they’ve gone so far that people that weren’t necessarily believers are now big believers, because they said that was a step too far. They really are a disaster of a newspaper.

MUELLER DRAFT REPORT SAYS TRUMP 'HELPED PUTIN DESTABILIZE THE UNITED STATES', WATERGATE JOURNALIST SAYS

    https://www.newsweek.com/mueller-re...n-destabilize-us-watergate-journalist-1289541

Legendary journalist Carl Bernstein has said that he’s been told that special counsel Robert Mueller’s report will show how President Donald Trump helped Russia “destabilize the United States.”

Bernstein, who is renowned for his coverage of the Watergate scandal that led to the resignation of former President Richard Nixon, appeared on CNN’s Reliable Sources on Sunday to discuss two bombshell reports released this weekend, one from The New York Times and one from The Washington Post, which revealed new details about whether or not Trump and his aides have colluded with Russia.

The Post reported that Trump has gone to “extraordinary lengths” to conceal direct conversations he has had with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Times article revealed that the FBI opened a counterintelligence investigation into Trump after he fired former bureau director James Comey in 2017, suspecting the president could be working on behalf of Russia. Trump has angrily denied allegations that he worked with Russia and has regularly attacked the media for reporting on the investigation. But Bernstein slammed Trump’s dismissal of the probe.

“This is about the most serious counterintelligence people we have in the U.S. government saying, ‘Oh, my God, the president’s words and actions lead us to conclude that somehow he has become a witting, unwitting, or half-witting pawn, certainly in some regards, to Vladimir Putin,'” Bernstein explained during his appearance on Reliable Sources .

“From a point of view of strength… rather, he has done what appears to be Putin’s goals. He has helped Putin destabilize the United States and interfere in the election, no matter whether it was purposeful or not,” the journalist added. He then explained that he knew from his own high-level sources that Mueller’s report would discuss this assessment.

“And that is part of what the draft of Mueller’s report, I’m told, is to be about,” he said. “We know there has been collusion by [former national security adviser Michael] Flynn. We know there has been collusion of some sort by [Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul] Manafort. The question is, yes, what did the president know and when did he know it?”

Trump has defended himself against such reports, arguing, inaccurately, that he has taken a hardline stance against Russia.

“I have been FAR tougher on Russia than Obama, Bush or Clinton. Maybe tougher than any other President. At the same time, & as I have often said, getting along with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. I fully expect that someday we will have good relations with Russia again! [sic],” he wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

However, the president’s 2016 campaign remains the subject of a special investigation led by Mueller. Several former high-ranking Trump aides have been indicted in the probe and last week, it was revealed that Manafort shared confidential polling data with an associate linked to Russian-intelligence.

Trump's administration recently moved to remove financial sanctions on an ally of Putin, and has recently pulled troops out of Syria -- a long-standing demand from the Russian President.

Trump, Putin and a Test of Presidential Power
The FBI worried that Trump was serving Russia’s interests. Turns out, Trump’s been burying records of his conversations with Putin. And he won’t give even Fox News a straight answer about any of it.

Notice that trump and his people can never answer a question directly... they lie, then when challenged, go on to a different lie.

    ...I admit...

...it IS kinda funny how the truth never really goes away...no matter how many lies you tell or how many lies are told to keep it hidden...

...you know, like making it so Jesus Christ was riding around on dinosaurs in Palestine a couple thousand years ago, because you can't disprove that dinosaurs existed, and that they were around for millions of years before...

...or how you can't find ANYBODY out of thousands of people involved with NASA who offers any evidence of the whole moon landing thing being a set piece by Stanley Kubrick (who actually could probably make a pretty convincing fake moon landing if he'd wanted to)...

...or how nobody's come forward to show how the last president faked his own birth certificate long enough to serve a term in the Senate and two terms as chief executive with nobody noticing...

...I mean, really...you mean to tell me not a single republican congressman wouldn't have gone along with anything that looked like legitimate (or even illegitimate, so we don't narrow the scope) evidence of a fake Negro president, had the FBI not done any type of investigation covertly...?

...I'd usually say something about the flat-earth or Al Sharpton here...

...but it is a new year, so I thought I'd try new things...

...like maybe sticking with deductive reasoning based on provable, corroborative, fact-based events...

It's important to keep in mind that as a general rule, the more strenuously Trump denies or obfuscates something, the higher the likelihood that thing he is trying to deny is true.

It's one of his many, many tells. And why he's such a great dealmaker!

    ...well really, now...

...at this point, what else would anybody expect from the Donald?

...and what's even funnier is that the Donald's ratted himself out any number of a dozen times or so all on his own...

...I thought made men of the family business went through some type of orientation...?

I really hope that Trump did not compromise the United States to the Russians in an effort to ensure he was elected President.

I have long felt that perhaps someone or a few people close to Trump broke the law to get dirt from the Russians, but without any quid pro quo. I have never thought that high ranking Trump surrogates or the President entered into an agreement where they would compromise America for help from the Russians purposely and in an arrangement.

As time goes on, it looks more and more like the President of the United States may have been compromised. I really don't want that to be the case. What an absolute humiliating and terrible black eye for America if that is in fact true. If it is true, all those that attempted to protect the President, and those that attempted to suppress evidence should be dead politically and their name ruined.

Hypothetically, if there is really strong evidence disclosed of the President being compromised; where do we go? There is a better than 50% chance he isn't President by the time everything is disclosed and settled upon. Does he face criminal charges? If there is evidence of treason, what should be the outcome? Does he face long term prison? Should he face the same consequences that someone would face for treason?

Yes. Absolutely. One reason we’re in this situation is that people in positions of power routinely avoid legal consequences that most people have to face.
