We live and die with Harden's 3-point shot more than ever. Without CP3's stable midrange game and Harden taking a massive volume of 3-point attempts, this is the highest variance we've ever seen from this team. It's why we can win @ Golden State... and then lose to the Magic. Thank god that Gawden has shown up the majority of this recent stretch, but there's no mistake that we need CP3 and Gordon back, along with 1 or 2 good acquisitions by Morey if we want to seriously challenge for a ring.
Not really. If he was so gassed because of the 15 games where he shot the ball amazingly but now apparently the 16th game he could not physically shoot the ball because he was too tired, he probably shouldn’t have shot 17 times when none were going in, no?
I know its just one loss, but I feel this one stings. Do you guys feel that even with gordon and reasonably healthy CP we just might not be that good enough this year to compete for it all. I feel we have a shot but sometimes get this feeling as if there's just not enough
Honestly at this point Harden has earned the right to go 0/50 and should still have our confidence to keep putting it up. These games are gonna happen...rarely We have like a half a season long sample size of the step back being a 40 ish percent shot for him. Trust the process.
If we get career average Paul and Gordon when they come back, to go along with what we have going on right now, plus maybe one other tweak we have a damn good shot.
We are definitely a lot better with CP3 and Gordon since they are 2 starters and that would bring Rivers and House to strengthen the bench. But we still have a weakness at the 4/5 for a few reasons: 1) Capela is a rock/paper/scissors player. He's either fantastic or terrible -- all depending on the matchup. 2) Tucker doesn't do enough to justify starting and playing 35 minutes. Doesn't shoot many threes and is struggling with making corner threes. Need an upgrade there that probably is unattainable. 3) Some of it is due to the switching defense, but the team desperately needs to rebound better and starts with your 4 and 5. Need a true rebounding big with an elite TREB%
Was out with the fiancé I looked at the score we were up by 7 with 4 minutes to then I get home I see the result and was stunned. Harden 10 of 15 from anywhere not the3 point line but 1-17 from the three point line?
That is ridiculous. PJ just needs an adequate backup. Without PJ, our defense would tank even more than it already has. PJ has shown that he can make that corner three when hes gotten adequate rest, chill.
Honestly, I had been thinking about Khem Birch is a backup 4/5 a few weeks ago on the Rockets. His salary is 1.38 M. Then, I changed my mind because we need more than that. There is no way that the Magic will give him up for Ennis and a 1st rounder after this game.
its fair what you are suggesting but what about dallas game? 8pts lead 3 minutes to go? what about last night? you see he simply lacks a killer instinct, a professionalism if you will, that was there last year
i did not forgot about gordon man, i am scared of his return tbh harden will go 1-17 once in several years but gordon can do it every other night
the guy on the rockets bench with no hands and mouth to call a time out when rockets are struggling and the opponents are on a scoring streak
was that was supposed to be encouraging? .. i would have felt much better if the situation is reverse.. this rockets team has no killer instinct....they need tough opponents top p;lay to theri potential....this game should of been a blowout in the 1st quarter and the crowd would be bored out of their minds and the magic players would of lay down the weapons before being resurrected and given a new life by rockets half hearted effort
ill give you paul but of course we was winning without gordon he was bogging us down the entire season with his incessant bricking
yep btw remember dallas game it was 3 to go and we were up by 8 and cp3 and gordon were playing if i recalll well.. and we still lost
That nets to raptors stretch ain’t no joke. Nets are very good team, lakers will have a pissed Lebron back. And Raptors are leagues best
