The Rockets are so mediocre it hurts

Anyway, the reason they're mediocre is because ultimately they're pretty good at home (don't care how good they are), but they're mediocre to garbage on the road. Most of the truly elite teams can win on the road. The Rockets just can't. Their offense looks different, which exposes their terrible defense even more (since the offense can't save them this time). So yes, they just might beat the Grizzlies (even blow them out), but it'll be at home and it won't mean absolutely anything because they'll still suck on the road.

Finally, F*** you Chris Paul for trapping the Rockets into a 4-year window with your old-man, injury-prone ass. The minute his trade value builds up, please trade his ass. This team just wins based off of unsustainable "things," for a 5-game stretch and then just digs themselves in the hole again. Anything other than a top 1 seed is a waste for this team. I'd definitely think it'd be more productive to tank for a nice pick (and thus a good trade asset for next season), but I know I'd sound crazy for that and it's already too late for that. Meaningless season.

I dont agree with OP at all and I may be one of very few if not the only one that thinks we are actually better this year..but warriors have 3 of last 4 championships, they get the luxury of losing to bad teams, we dont. We need every advantage we can get

Imagine being a Rockets fan and actually feeling this way. If you don't care about that road win -- literally one of the greatest regular season wins in Rockets history, there's basically no reason to be a Rockets fan or a sports fan in general. If you're going to be that miserable, it's time to find a new hobby.

I agree with you...It's like some people are just waiting for the Rockets to falter so they can inject their narrative and negativity into everything. I get feeling down about a game, but this thread is nuts. A bad loss doesn't invalidate a great win or Harden's awesome performances.

If (when)we smack Memphis tomorrow, will OPs narrative change? I had no issues with Mr. BasketMAD before this thread, but this little window into his personality makes me think he's not a chill dude to hang out with.
