At this point, they both need to own it. Here I thought that we had strict constitutionalists. I guess they don't know about checks and balances. These two are basically turning this presidency into an Oligarchy. I don't think enough has been said about the role that McConnell is playing in this. History will not remember him fondly for how he has handled his roles in government. He is not allowing the Senate to operate as it should. Put it to a vote, if it passes the Senate and is vetoed by Trump you put it through again and see if the bill will get 2/3rds majority. If it does then checks and balances have won the day. If you won't do that, you are a traitor to our republic and the Constitution.

Not a shocker. Just like Ryan wouldn't allow a vote on the Senate resolutions passed before the Trump threats. So tired of people the vast majority of the country have not control over electing wielding so much power.

 

The ridiculous shutdown is an on-going act of lunacy by trump, as are the tens of thousands of vacations being ruined across the country due to parks and museums being shuttered because of the Idiot in Chief. Acts like this, however, are inexcusable. They can't be blamed strictly on the shutdown, although it obviously plays it's part. It can certainly be blamed, however, on damn fools that should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, if they can be caught. Reckless government is one thing and we are experiencing it now, thanks to trump, but reckless destruction of our nation's heritage by lawless citizens is something else entirely, in my humble opinion. Find them and throw them in jail. Maybe trump will join them someday. We'll have to wait and see.

 

It would be poetic justice if Trump, Hannity, and The Turtle all got contaminated food because their food wasn't inspected.

You would think the trump government shutdown would save money, but you'd be wrong. As trump continues his temper tantrum to get his vanity wall, he is costing tax payers more money per week. So the costs of his vanity wall are increasing...
