    2000 Miles of wall = 10560000 Feet
    8 Feet tall?

    So roughly 84480000 square feet.
    For 5,000,000,000 dollars

So this wall will cost roughly 59.19 dollars a square foot?

    Does anyone really believe that?

"Laser cutters"? More likely hack saws or rechargeable reciprocating saws with metal cutting blades. Don't think anyone would consider laser cutters "commonly available". Apparently the metal slat walls are impotent, making them appropriate to be named after trump.

I don't know why people lock their doors at night, I mean, doors are vulnerable to breaching which makes them completely worthless right?

Karl Rove weighs in: "Democrats appear more eager to use immigration as a political weapon than to resolve the policy issue."

These aren't people who are cleaning the gutter on the weekend. These are people who have undergone a trip on foot through rugged terrain and rough conditions. They aren't going to shy away from a ladder climb.

Just in case its isnt imediately clear, the reason they voted for a wall last March is, when you are the minority party you make the best deal you can get because you are the minority and you have no control of the agenda. You aren't driving policy, only using your votes to try and bend it a little bit one way or the other.

When you are the majority, you are the one who drives policy and gives out little trinkets to the minority party to get them to do what you want.

I am perplexed as to why this isn't plainly obvious to everybody.

As a pretty clever two faced viper, I'm pretty sure Karl Rove understands it but is making the argument to rile up the hayseeds in the peanut gallery.

Altogether? Probably between 20 and 70 billion and there will be parts along the border that won't be included due to extreme terrain but those will be easily surveilled.

LOL, no one said they'd "shy away" from it, only that it's not as easy as you are making it out. First of all, carrying two 20 foot ladders isn't the easiest thing when "walking on foot through rugged terrain and rough conditions" as you put it, and setting up those 20 foot ladders on opposite sides of the barrier isn't that easy either. These aren't peak athletes who are rested, as you said these are people who are in the middle of a really taxing journey most likely on foot. On top of that, if it takes too long to set the whole thing up and get everyone across, Border Patrol responds and you made the journey just to get stuck in Mexico and you potentially lose your ladders. Even if you make it across, if Border Patrol was bought enough time to respond by how long it took you to make it across, you now go straight to a detention facility.

If there's little to no chance of people actually making it into the country, they'll stop coming.

So... 15 years ago trump gave lessons on how to get around a concrete wall?

I’m changing my views on trump. He’s not an idiot. This man is the most calculated troll ever. I want to become him.

I guess in fairness to some, trump voters were probably hoping for change and were fooled by the NY conman. But I am afraid most trump supporters surrendered self respect and integrity when they pulled that lever in November 2016, and are doubling down with their continued defense of him...

So if Trump breaks the law while President, does that make Trump a bad person? or just a bad President?
