We did have him, Morey waived him because he didn't want to guarantee him 200k on his contract. Morey didn't want him.

I like Uthoff too but not nearly as much as you. Uthoff is a stretch 4 small ball 5 BACK UP. Hes def not a wing.

He and House would have completely different roles. And Clark not a small ball 5 for Rockets now, hes a 3-4.

You can project him there but that doesn't make it true.

What's the defense like there compared to the NBA?

What are the athletes he's playing against like there compared to the NBA?

You of all people should know bballfailure, that context matters.

Actually we don't know whether that would have been our most played lineup if Paul didn't get injured. The two most played lineups before CP's injury were:

Paul, Harden, Ariza, Tucker, Capela 52 min.
Paul, Harden , Gordon, Ariza, Tucker 48 min.

The second lineup appeared to be a little more effective with a 0.0 NetRtg vs. -5.7 by the first lineup. But it doesn't tell what the Warriors lineups were against each of them. It seems reasonable to assume that the first lineup was against Warriors starting 5.

Simply because I never commented on him? If that's the case I know absolutely nothing about the vast majority of NBA players considering I never comment on them.

It shouldn't surprise you at all if you understand guaranteed contracts, roster count, the trade deadline, the salary cap, the contracts given out by Euroleague and other foreign leagues, the fact that at any given time there are a couple hundred players not in the NBA who are as good as players that are in the NBA, and there are probably around 20-30 players not in the NBA who would displace a starter on a playoff team.

Not to mention what actual NBA teams goals are fur any given season. (Only about half the time is their goal to be in the playoffs.)

When you understand the big picture you can better understand why a very good veteran player like Anthony Randolph is not in the NBA but is good enough to be a primary rotation piece on a playoff championship contender.

Baloney...if Randolph was THE piece to enable the Rockets to beat the Warriors, Morey would find a way to sign him.

I don't know about saying there are 30 players outside of the NBA that would take 30 of the 80 starting spots in the playoffs? Plenty of good players out there. I get the thought but would guess it to be more like 15 max.

What I suggested.......was he has the right skill set to help us beat the Warriors that Capela does not have.

You can make this all about Capela being better then him if you want to. But for a 7-game series against the Warriors....Randolph witted be better than Capela because he can

    1. Spread the floor by bring a spot up shooter.

    2. He can switch defend better than Capela.

Yes he's 5 years older. He's in his physical prime. He's not old and broke down. 5 years didn't make Capela quicker. Twitch, conditioning, and less bulk make a player quicker.
