Oh, the 5 page essay that I didn't read because all it does is discredit what is shown as proven fact over your overcompensated notion that somehow, this team can beat the Warriors with Anthony Randolph over Clint Capela. No thanks!

Why don't you do this... go apply for a GM job somewhere. Anywhere. See how far you get within the process and get back to us once you conclude this process.

Or maybe just go ahead and play armchair GM with your fantasy basketball team... this would save yourself the embarrassment of putting yourself through scenario number one.
Go ahead and add all these mythical playmakers and top flight defenders that could easily stop the GSW; like Jared Uthoff, Thong Maker, and (now) Anthony freakin' Randolph to that fantasy team of yours. Then you can come back and let us know how that fantasy team of yours, fairs for you.

Maybe it'll save us from this bludgeoning we have to endure, pretty much every single day. Good luck on winning a title, even there...

Please post any link where I said I didn’t think Beverley or House would or wouldn’t help the Rockets and I’ll comment on it then.

Is there anyone on this board or the Rockets organization or the entire NBA that agrees with you?

I do agree that against the Warriors, LAST YEAR, our best bet was to play our small lineup, especially with the way PJ was playing. This was compounded by the fact that once the Rockets lost CP3 and the Warriors realized nobody outside of PJ in the corner or Ariza could hit a three, they packed the paint even more as the series went along, basically closing all lanes for Harden to operate. Regular season LMM and Ryno showing up would've helped matters, as the Rockets were lacking in balance, again, especially once CP3 went down.

With that said, this years Capela has shown much more strength, stamina and consistent aggressiveness, all elements that are necessary to PUNISH teams when they go small. This is part of the reason why his offensive reb numbers are on the uprise and I believe could be a competitive advantage for the Rockets against the Warriors death lineup. It already has been during the regular season, so there's some hope that it will help in the playoffs. Even Harden seems more at ease just chucking shots against the backboard when the defense collapses, knowing that Capela will be there for the put back.

That same strength, stamina and consistent aggressiveness is also helping him finish around the basket with contact at a high rate. Again, this is why his numbers are trending up and I hope he continues with this demeanor even after we get CP3 and Gordon back.

It would also help if he can continue to trend upward in FT%, as hack-a-pela is definitely a strategy you don't want a loaded team like the Warriors to utilize to kill momentum every time it shifts in the Rockets favor.

In the end, I feel it is important to remember that Capela is still very young and has consistently shown the ability to get better and work hard. He also seems to play better when the lights are brighter, so you can tell he is a competitor. Draymond did get the best of him in the WCFs, but that's what he does with almost every one. But what I am seeing from Capela, is that he is learning how to play against that type of competition and actually finding ways to make himself useful to contribute to winning ways.

I'm of opinion that Randolph was a positionless big that came into NBA before this type of player was en vogue so also advocating bringing Anthony Randolph back to NBA but he's not a Capela replacement.

AR would be a 4 and small ball 5 on Rockets. And he would be coming off the bench to boot.

Randolph is shooting 44% on over 100 3's with a TS of 62%. He's shot 37% from 3 over there last 4 seasons combined. He's a much better shooter than Smoove.

It’s honestly collectively embarrassing for the rest of the logical posters.

I’m assuming @Clutch can’t ban him because he’s stating an opinion, although i’d like to get a clearer sense in regards to the forums regulations towards “fake insiders”, if they have any.

It might or might not be difficult for Clutch to verify that.

He's not a Capela replacement for sure. He is exactly what you said....the en vogue small ball 5. Capela is your basic old school PnR big. We don't need another one. We need less of that and more of this at the 5.

Jarrod Uthoff is better than Danuel House and Gary Clark.
