I suspect that if trump had consulted with military and diplomatic leaders that they might have advised a phased withdrawal from Syria and criticism might have been much less... or perhaps even praised. But no... trump needed what he thought would be a source of good media to counter all the bad, and instead...

    Supposedly (according to bolton), US troop withdrawal from Syria is now dependent on Turkey agreeing to not a number of things, including not attacking Kurds. Turkey (our great ally in the region) just gave bolton (trump) the finger...

    Watch out for Eric Prince and Trump possibly privatizing all the middle eastern conflicts. I wouldn't be surprised if that is what eventually will happen .
