    Makes sense MCW showed some flashes in preseason of creating and attacking the basket but could not space the floor at all and missed everything he took when he did drive. Oddly enough I think what we all hoped to get from MCW in a best case scenario we are starting to get from Austin Rivers now.

    Definitely not worth keeping at the price he would have cost the team after the luxury tax

    Just saw him wandering around on Travis St. He looked distraught.

    @Deuce

    BRILLIANT financial management move to save on huge Taxes, just like the Onuaku trade. Too bad we no longer have enough Cash to buy 2nd Round picks with. But still brilliant.

    We still have a 1st rounder that we could trade for 2 future second rounders.

    :confused:

    Wouldn't it be better to have a FRP and still have your cash, versus having to use all your cash on Luxury Tax savings?

    Morey has either succeeded (or tried) to buy 2nd Round picks every year. It's one of his fav things to do with Les. But, now, he has to use his cash (on Onuaku and MCW) to save Tilman money.

    Rockets need to keep that pick. It is one of our best options of adding above average young talent to inject to an aging team.

    House became like a first round pick basically so his emergence has been very satisfying.

    It's amazing to me that he might not have expected this to happen today.

    Sucks for the guy, I know he enjoyed this lockerroom and was grateful to be on the team. Gotta be hard news.

    But you can't stick in the NBA if you don't develop a specific skill. Best of luck abroad.

    What is the point of this trade for Chicago? They lose cash and a 2nd round pick, just to waive MCW?

    I don't get it

    EDIT: misunderstood that cash is going to Bulls for waiving MCW

    No. They're getting cash from us and the 2nd round pick will most likely be highly protected.. probably never converted.
