Yes he does purely “cut the checks” but there have been rumors even before the Jimmy Butler nonsense that Taylor and Thibs did not get along well. Maybe asking to fire him directly after a playoff victory is harsh, but the way that Thibs bungled the Butler situation was egregious enough to fire him sooner than today.

Now they have a middling team with players who potentially feel bad, ostracized, or aren’t competing whatsoever and you fired the two coaches in under 4 years. I’m not lessening any blame Thibodeau holds in his former work as coach/President. But ultimately the Wolves have been a dumpster fire for more than a decade. That falls on Taylor.

Conley's always injured & Gasol's probably looking to get traded. The teams looking to rebuild around Jackson. Why would you fire a coach for losing in rebuild mode? Plus the Grizzlies actually play hard & compete every nite

Maybe because they're not in rebuilding? That's what you're assuming, but Woj or Shams (can't remember now) reported that there was tension in the lockeroom recently (i guess cause they're losing too much), and that Memphis want/ed to convey their pick to Boston this season anyway so, no, they're/were not rebuilding.

You spend all your time blaming thibs but then blame Taylor at the end anyway lol. You contradict yourself in your post first you say Taylor didnt fire thibs soon enough but then you blame him for 2 coaches in 4 years. So which is then, you want him to fire thibs or not? Because if Taylor gets another coach that would be 3 coaches in4 years which is on him according to you.

The only blame Taylor has is hiring Thibs. Thats it. He doesn't interefere in GM decisions, because as owner he is supposed to let the GM do his job. Like I said I dont think that makes him a bad owner because he doesnt sell the team assets for money like Sarver or fights with his players like Cleveland owner.

He is nowhere near the worst owner in the NBA.

Covington is not even as good as EG. He collapsed in the playoffs for Philly.

Timberwolves need to take a chance on Chauncy Billups as HC and move Wiggins and Gibson. I doubt the Timberwolves are looking to move Covington on such a great contract.

All you giving high praise to Butler might want to reconsider. The guy is quickly looking to be a ego freak and thinks he’s top dog in the nba.... minni has okay talent just needs someone besides dumbido

Thibs is done as an NBA head coach. He might still make a good assistant somewhere.

But they are rebuilding. They're trying to rebuild around Jackson as they should. Memphis was never considered a contender this year. JB wasn't hired to win a ring right away. Not understanding ur logic here

Was that before or after their win against the Lakers?

Normally they fire them after losses but who knows.

He looks like Osvald Cobblepot aka the Bird.

I'm wondering what the new management is planning for Saric. Do they think he could be a long term player for them or not? My guess is that, they will try to help him to become a productive player for them.

Will Tolliver become available? I like him as a backup 4. He can help Tucker out better than anyone else so far. I wouldn't give up Clark for him though.

Mark Jackson is 2 tiers below SVG and JVG, they shouldn't really be mentioned together.
