Clowney is worth 3-4 wins? Lol.... Clowney the guy who gave away 15 yard penalties like they were Mardi Gras beads?
Their defense was exploited.... their offense was exploited. Since the defense was deemed "stronger" than the offense for the majority of the season, them being exploited on the biggest stage did carry a significant part in the overall result. The offense playing from behind was worse than what they'd shown in previous weeks... but hey, the plus side of playing from behind is you see less runs up the middle.
Now that the Colts are the clear class of the division and will be for years to come, what will the Texans do about it now? Not expecting much but maybe they’ll surprise us with some unexpected changes.
If Kingsbury leaves USC I would be highly disappointed if the Texans didn't at least interview him for OC. And yes I know he's an actual potential HC hire for someone else. But Id still like them to take the shot in case those teams go in a different direction.
This season? Yeah. Again, he was more productive than Khalil Mack even if apparently some Texans fans can't see that. Without Clowney on the team the defense is considerably worse, he makes up for a lot.
Will likely need to look elsewhere, which is fine, there are plenty of other candidates. https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...ams-to-interview-newly-hired-kliff-kingsbury/
Texans finally have picks (4 in the first 3 rounds). I’m excited about what Gaine can do in this upcoming draft
What about Keke? Did his hamstrings make it out okay? Good news for them: they have all offseason to heal!
Personnel could potentially improve, but this coaching staff has proved to me that they don’t have the smarts under the existing regime to win the big games and win them with consistency.
I think we'd be set at safety, so long as we had enough corners to not have to play guys like Mathieu in the slot.
