I hope Kareem and Tyrann start delivering hard hits on TY early and often. They should have the availability because we SHOULD be bracketing him on each play.

I'm hoping to get to see Mathieu absolutely crush TY Hilton early in the game today. That would set the tone we're looking for.

All that stat shows is that winning a College Championship doesn't mean squat when it comes to winning a SuperBowl. It also shows the odds of it happening again are good, since it hasn't happened in awhile. So, the odds might be in our favor.

Exactly what I just told some friends. Even if it costs you a penalty. Make him afraid to go over the middle and then take away the sidelines.

If I'm the Texans, I'm bracketing TY every passing down and throwing some extra safety helpt over the top on Ebron, too. Mix in some heavy pressure packages to get to Luck. Keep everything short. When Luck gets rattled, he's inaccurate much of the time.

On offense, I'm going double slot much of the time. I'm throwing 5 yard crosses to Carter and Keke and letting them do work after the catch. I'm going over the top on post routes to Hopkins and Smith here and there and I'm working the tight ends intermediate. In all of that, I'm mixing in playaction by establishing the run game with RPOs.

They need to ball out against the Indianapolis clowns today. I predict 31-20.

This game is too close to predict. If Watson doesn't turn it over more than once, we win. If he does, we lose. I believe that's what it comes down to. The Houston sports fan in me is jaded and thinks Deshaun melts down. But I'm going for it:

    Texans turn it on:

    Texans 38
    Colts 24

Let's just hope it's Luck coughing up the ball and not Watson, and we will win this!!!!!

More than a crushing hit we need to "target" that ankle with fundamentals. A solid hit and drag him to the ground they way they taught us in highschool.

Yeah that would work too, but I think the crushing hit sends a message, the "targeting" the ankle would probably be effective to get him out of the game, but it would feel like dirty play rather than merely tough play. That said, maybe i wouldn't feel like that if it helped the team win. I dunno.

That's why the game is essentially a pick em. This one could truly go either way without me being surprised at all.

No, he was a Gaine FA, it was like 3 months after he was on the job that they signed him.
