But what if they are playing the same characters in a later timeline where they are justting sitting around and 'telling' the story of them before the timeline where the majority of this said show will take place.

Hard to believe Dogma was 20 years ago, and Smith hasn't done anything better than OK since then.

I'm a HUGE Kevin Smith mark, and I'm in the "I'll believe it when I see it" mode

disappointed that Clerks 3 and MallBrats never was in the can and was hyped for those

If you are ever in the NJ area, highly recommend going to his store in Red Bank, awesome experience

Yes sir, Secret Stash, went there in '11 before the show aired, then went back last year when I was up there during Harvey. Super nice guys, met them before at Comicpalooza 2014/15, got a pic with them at the Stash minus Ming, also got a pic at the Quick Stop

Man, it looks like that heart attack rebooted his body. Happy for him if he's finally living right.

He had an excellent podcast with Rogan a little while back that is worth listening to.

I'll give it a listen. Thanks for the heads up!

I recently got his autobiography on audible and was floored by how cool he is. Like the guy just loves movies and his family. His wife and his daughter are his everything, so I could see him really flipping the script and changing his life for them.

he's an amazing story teller, definitely recommend his "A Evening with Kevin Smith" QA DVDs that was released mid 2000s, most you can probably watch on YouTube, seen him live at Improv 3 times, one with a screening of Yoga Hosers

I haven’t watched the one where the guy from the Apple commercial gets turned into a walrus. Seems he’s also been directing a few tv episodes here and there.

Once I read the synopsis I had to watch it on a random rainy day a few years ago. One of the weirdest, dumbest, most wtf? movies I've ever seen.

Can't believe that Smith had a massive heart attack and almost died.

i enjoyed kevin smith's talks. however i never understood why clerks and mallrats gained such a huge following. i thought they were mediocre at best. now I understand that dogma was what catapulted matt damon and ben affleck into superstardom, but even that was like a 7 at best.

For sure. They both give an extremely emotional story about the same topic. Prepare yourself :(:(:(

He has a very distinct style, and it's certainly not for everyone. The crazy low budget for Clerks certainly played into it's popularity. It was the ultimate do it yourself indie film which was perfect for the mid-90's. The movie itself, yeah not a lot special about it. Entertaining, but not great.

I loved Mallrats, easily my favorite of his movies and that's the one everybody s**t on. Watched it a little while back and still loved it.

Jay and Silent Bob did not age well, at least not for me. I saw it in the theaters when I was 14 and loved it. Tried watching it a few years back and I really can't see what I liked about it so much. Jay just annoyed the hell out of adult me.
