I do give a flying hoot.... this bias BS is sooo clear from everyone who is not a Houston Rockets fan. Us against them.... I wouldn't have it any other way.
We've seen some bad fan voting, but this is honestly the worst I can recall. There's always some stupid vote getters in the top 10, but to have 3 starters this under qualified along with the regular stupid ones is a joke.
Kind of sad that Wade is the 2nd most popular guard in the east. Fans must not be watching basketball for the last few years. Same with Rose.
don't put Europe all together. Most european countries hardly know who Durant is let alone Doncic. However if every Slovenian man woman and child voted then there we are. I am not optimistic about Rose. He is immensely popular with players so my guess is that they will vote for him if the ballots are cast after these results are published. The journalist panel alone won't be able to keep him out.
rose is liked amongst the players in the league but they're not going to bypass elite players just on that alone. They still vote on who the actual best players are. not worried about that at all
yeah? as far I know last year except that not everyone even bothered to vote, they took it as a joke voting each other and scrubs. If you expect the players to vote impartially good luck.
didn't see much wrong with the 8 players that got in to be the starters last year that players had a part in voting for
have a graph of the players vote selections? i dont remember it being as outrageous as you're making it seem
Why not? Real Madrid is like...the second most prominent league after the NBA. And he's a highly decorated athlete in Europe btw. I dont really like him personally but to say he doesnt have a lot of fans all over Europe is crazy.
Sorry I'm on my phone. I am sure they won't vote Doncic but Wade and especially Rose.. Real is a team not a league and also most Europeans only care about football not bball. If the Spaniards were out in droves voting they would first vote for the Spaniards not Doncic. But they don't care. If someone cares to vote that is the Slovenians. Btw most Europeans you can find are antiReal than pro Real. It is a team with its roots on corruption and loved by the dictator afterall.
@malakas nvm found it. these are the top 5 player total votes for all from the 2018 game. the spots for the 8 remaining starters isn't really ludicrous. the top players are still getting the most player votes by a wide margin West Guards: 1. Curry - 146 2. harden - 141 3. westbrook - 102 4. Lillard/Booker - 27 each 5. Butler - 22 West Frontcount: 1. KD - 204 2. AD - 150 3. Cousins - 114 4. Aldridge - 65 5. Towns - 58 East Guards: 1. Kyrie - 181 2. Derozan - 105 3. Oladipo - 73 4. Wall - 57 5. Beal - 43 East Froncourt: 1. Giannis - 226 2. Lebron - 220 3. KP - 100 4. Embiid - 94 5. Drummond - 38
Whoops, my bad for the ignorance. But I do wanna say after seeing his accolades: "After debuting in the senior side at age 16, the youngest in club history, he led Madrid to the 2018 EuroLeague title, winning the EuroLeague MVP and EuroLeague Final Four MVP awards at age 19. He was also named the ACB Most Valuable Player, and won back-to-back EuroLeague Rising Star and ACB Best Young Player awards." Do you still wanna tell me he has like NO fans in Europe outside of Slovenia?? Like that little, is that what you are telling me, if so, I'll drop this.
NBA needs to allow a pool of players to be voted on. Not every single guy in the NBA. Allow fans to choose from like....25 guys or something. But this is embarrassing at this point.
