UT and UH each have their own individual problems to worry about.

UT has been an enormous underachiever for decades, even with nearly limitless resources.

UH isn't in a big boy conference, and until they are, there isn't really any room to say much.

At one point (1991, I believe) UH had one of the best winning percentages against UT in the country. The series was something like 9-7-2 in favor of UT.

UH won those games by the following margins:
    9
    38
    51
    20
    14
    3
    30

I mean, yeah, I'm not here to argue that UH should talk ****. But at the beginning of the 90s, and for the majority of their time in the SWC, UH was a legitimate pain in UT's ass unlike any other program.

I attended UH from 76-80. We won the SWC 3 out of 4 years during that time including a 30-0 beat down of UT at Austin. Not gloating, just pointing it out. There has never been any love between UH and UT. That is why I was surprised when Applewhite became part of our program to begin with, ultimately leading to the debacle of him as our HC. UH has actively pursued having UT as a non conference opponent whereas UT has been trying to avoid it. That's just the facts Jack.

If he recruits well locally this can turn out to be a good thing.

Holgo sounds like Alex Jones and looks like the human equivalent of a crushed beer can.

The coaching profession must be absolute hell on your health.

Well......... he drinks 12 red bulls a day and has for at least a decade...... do the math..... it is amazing that he still alive.

He is a very intense guy and keeps a weird routine and working hours.

I can't imagine 12 red bulls a day; I doubt that he sleeps much. Herman was also an energy drink freak. I know people who end up in the hospital from sucking too many energy drinks, pure caffeine. I guess it is similar to drinking coffee all day.

I am not the biggest fan of Holgorsen's offense. I think that he very good but he isn't elite IMO.

A lot of people did not think that he would be a successful head coach because he is very unconventional.

If he can't get 5and 4 star players to come its going to be the same thing as having AW here.

we already know what youll get from AW. the change in itself was a good thing, regardless of how much you want to put your stock on players at this moment

Now that we have HC in place with offensive background, what are we going to do with the defense? Is Holgorson bringing any of his staff with him or are we looking elsewhere for our next DC?
