I love Clutchfans. We've won 10 out of 11 of the last games and James Harden is playing at a GOAT level and we can still find things to complain about. I'll go ahead and chime in. SOMEBODY NEEDS TO CALL OUT D'ANTONI FOR NOT PLAYING MCW!
Give Dantoni better players and he will rest Harden more. Take up roster spots with the likes of MCW, Chriss, Hardenstein, Knight, Melo etc and thats a third of roster that is dead weight.
The post I personally have been waiting for. More insight, more knowledge, more wisdom than just about any other post in 2019. Truly deserves its own thread.
I mean I hate to toot my own horn but much like Harden, I'm also at a GOAT level right now. Some of my best work on this board.
this thread needs to stay on the front page just a little bit longer before receding into the hole in the ground where it belongs
That we're winning does not mean there aren't still issues to address. Harden's greatness is just masking them.
Unless Harden is hurt, he isn't going to play less minutes than he is now. We can blame Pringles all we want for not resting Harden but judging by his comments/play/attitude right now, I believe it's Harden that wants to play all these minutes. He's on a tear right now to repeat as MVP.
I am not complaining it works for now, and everyone is happy. I am a Rocket fan and I am enjoying this entertaining season all is good for now. Can we sustain? Time tells all.
I certainly don't think it's b****ing. The OP is a bit dramatic. But he has a point about Harden's overuse, and I don't see anything wrong in discussing it despite the success we've been having.
At the end of the day, I hope this is what's happening. We've seen that Harden has not hesitated to let Mike know when he needs rest. I don't like the heavy minutes at all, but if Harden isn't complaining as of yet, then I suppose I'll just swallow my irritation.
I agree it is worth discussing but if you can't even acknowledge that there are valid reasons why coaches decide to give players more minutes than what was planned, that is not a discussion.
people always find reasons for b****ing, even when we're doing well. Back in the days, guys like Jordan, Iverson and Kobe would play 40 minutes a game for a whole season. Look at Lebron. He was playing over 40 minutes a game his first 5 seasons. Has he experienced any major injuries due to playing too many minutes? I don't think so. Injuries happen in the NBA. Some are just more injury prone than others. Stop your b****ing and enjoy greatness while you still can.
