I guess I'm not understanding...if the Rockets are capped out, how can they afford to add Bazemore at $19M?

Trade. We got BK's contract worth 15M a year. Obviously you can't a superstar with BK's contract so you target overpaid but decent players from teams whi are looking to shed salary. Atlanta wants to tank Bazemore doesn't really do anything for them.
I just mentioned him as my preference not trying to make it a fantasy basketball question I would prefer him over the other options on the Hawks. there were rumors not fake rumors made by another player's fanbase
Bazemore has 2 years left on his contract (including this year), so do you really want the Rockets to take on $19M/year for this year and next for him? I like him as a player, but $19M/year puts him in the top 10 highest at SG or SF. And what else do you give up for him including BK (you need at least another $2M in contracts to match).
Lin Fans can't see the whole picture about why the Rockets want Bazemore, they want a player to help them win games and get far in the playoffs they are not interested in players who can't help them advance

There's rumors going around and I like him out of all the players on the Hawks He's a good fit and the rumors are real The Rockets have overpaid for players before, it's not about that, it's about advancing in the playoffs that's what team fans want
Are you really that dense or just trolling? Bazemore and BK have the same contract length, you are paying 15M for BK anyway so the cost of Bazemore isn't 19M it is 4M. But you are right you need 2M more to match so add Marquess Chris and the salary cost of Bazemore is actually 1-2M because if you didn't do the trade you would still be paying the salary of BK and whoever. Paying 1-2M to upgrade from BK and Chriss to Bazemore is a no brainer.

Nope, not dense...and not trolling. Just wanted to understand if you really thought Bazemore was worth $19M/year for 2 years. Also didn't realize that BK was inactive for most of the year since I haven't really followed the Rockets much this season. Now that I know this, I'm wondering why you think the Hawks would agree to a trade like this?
