Fangraphs review of 2018 Astros: https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/elegy-for-18-houston-astros/ Not much of note. Bregman is going to continue to be great...starting pitching is in transition...
Stros4me - Do you remember that kid in middle school who constantly raised his hand and talked non stop to try to show how smart he is, and he never realized the rest of his class was shaking their heads every time he spoke? Don’t be that kid. You really don’t have to be. It is entirely possible to contribute and participate without occupying 50 percent or so of the posts.
Rileydog, thank you for the advice. It saddens me to have to use a post to respond to this. If you would prefer not to read my posts, simply don’t.
This is the highest I’ve seen Alvarez ranked. He’s catching up to Tucker quickly, at least in some people’s eyes. I really hope we give this kid a chance.
You can do whatever you like. I’m just offering you some feedback to consider in case you intend to be on Clutchfans long term. I would hope that most people prefer to add value, information or insight to the discussion, and my point is for people to think before posting anything and everything. In the workplace for example, any joe can turn out a 10 page memo on a given subject. It takes intelligence and thought to narrow it down to 2 pages of salient information nd analysis.
I truly find it amusing that you are so moved by my posts that you feel the need to correct whatever inadequacies you find in them. Why does it bother you so much that we are different? It’s ok. Just be yourself and I will as well. You don’t have to be such a critical spirit. The object of communication isn’t to make everyone else just like you.
First, I’m not moved by your posts. Second, I’m not bothered because we are different. I’m bothered because you communicate in a way that is ineffective and enormously voluminous, and we get to scroll through them to get to actual information brought by people like Nook and others who really have insight as to what’s going on. Third, you can be yourself and still strive to be a better version of yourself. Fourth, I don’t want you to be like me. Lastly, my very point is about the object(ive) of communication. The members of Clutchfans is your audience. I would think that everyone’s objective is to communicate in a way that is effective, understandable, and to which people are receptive. If you don’t give a crap that a good number of folks here find your verbal diarrhea to be a nuisance, that’s your right. If you care about the object of communication, then you’ll at least give some thought to what people are saying and consider what you post, how frequently you post, and whether you should post it. For example, if you were in a group setting, I would hope that you would not choose to speak incessantly about every thought that entered your mind; that you would be aware of the people around you and that many are irritated by you. In that setting, you would hopefully be self aware enough to consider this kind of feedback if a person pulled you aside and suggested you tone it down. On the other hand, maybe you don’t give a crap here or in a group setting. Maybe you’re that guy. I don’t know. If you are, I am most certainly wasting my time. I prefer to assume that you aren’t that guy and you will be considerate of others on this board.
I’m the short span of a day that you and Snake have begun your attacks, 2 people have spoken up saying they have valued my posts. Not everyone sees things the way that you do. I suggest we just forgo speaking to one another from this point forth. If you want to block me or just scroll past my posts, feel free. I’m not going to continue this dialogue with you again.
